I bought my vehicle in September of 2023. Two months later, the oil was completely depleted from the Tuscon. Then, a month later, the Check Engine light came on and the vehicle was shaking. I called them and the said I can bring the vehicle in (I live in Regina, so I said that I wouldn't make it to Saskatoon, as the Check Engine light is on and the vehicle was shaking and wouldn't accelerate. They told me that I can bring it to the Regina Hyundai and they will be able to fix it with my warranty. So, I called Regina Hyundai, and they were great, I booked an appointment (2 weeks ahead was the soonest I could get in). I, then, called back Saskatoon Hyundai North to ask for a copy of my warranty information, so that I would have it. This ended up being a 2 week process, to simply get a copy of my warranty emailed to me. I called multiple times and every time, got transfered to at least 3 different people, having to re-explain myself each time, because they didn't relay the message. I was told 3 different times that the documents would be emailed to me, and finally the third time (2 weeks later), I received the email with the information. Regina Hyundai fixed my vehicle with the warranty. They said there were multiple problems with my vehicle. This is when I realized that Saskatoon North Hyundai didn't do a vehicle inspection before selling it to me, they sold me a "lemon" and tried to avoid me when I was trying to get my problem rectified. Regina Hyundai fixed my vehicle and I got my vehicle back. Then, early today (March 21, 2024), my vehicle gave out again, oil light and battery light came on and my vehicle stopped running. I had it towed to Regina Hyundai again. After speaking with the service rep at Regina Hyundai, he said I need a copy of the Carfax and history of oil changes. So, I called Saskatoon Hyundai again and their phone lines were busy. I finally got a hold of someone on the phone and she said they were having a problem with they phone lines. I told her that I needed a copy of the Carfax and oil change history. She said that she would send a message to a manager to get that info sent to me. I didn't get a response, so I contacted Andre, the sales manager who I met when I purchased my vehicle. I messaged him and called him and no answer. I left a message and no response back. Then, I spoke with Andre at 4:22 pm and he told me that he would email it to me in 15 minutes. I waited, and nothing. I called the dealership ay 5:19 pm (almost an hour after I spoke with Andre), and the receptionist told me that she was going to tell Andre right now to send me the email. I waited again, and nothing. I called back at 6:11 pm and told the receptionist that I was waiting still and she said she will get Andre on the phone. She came back to the phone and said he was too busy to talk to me (he was avoiding me). She said she will try to get him to call me back and to send me the documents. It is now after 10:00pm, and I have not received the email that Andre promised me. I am very disappointed, because when he it was a matter of getting the sale, he was sure to do what I asked, but after the sale, he doesn't care. Regina Hyundai can't work on my vehicle until they get the Carfax and the Oil change history from Saskatoon North Hyundai, until then, I am without a car. I do not recommend purchasing a vehicle from Saskatoon North Hyundai, becaue they will lie to you about completing a pre-purhase inspection and will try to avoid you when trying to get your vehicle fixed. I am very disappointed. More
Disheartening Experience: Lack of Transparency and Professionalism I recently had an experience at Saskatoon North Hyundai that was, regrettably, far below the standards one would expect when purch Professionalism I recently had an experience at Saskatoon North Hyundai that was, regrettably, far below the standards one would expect when purchasing a vehicle. I was interested in a 2018 Mercedes C43 AMG, listed at $46,000, which seemed reasonable. However, the experience that unfolded was anything but reasonable. On arrival, several undisclosed issues were immediately noticeable, including visible damage to the vehicle's exterior and persistent e-brake warning. The sales manager, Andre Cespedes, and trainee Dallen Erickson, unfortunately, chose to minimize these concerns rather than address them adequately. The lack of transparency continued throughout the interaction, with high-pressure tactics and reluctance to share crucial information about the vehicle's condition and history. Despite our insistence on a pre-purchase inspection, we were misled about the results, which, when finally revealed, disclosed multiple significant issues. The behavior was disappointing, especially considering we were serious and capable buyers, despite the challenge in acquiring financing as I am self-employed and hold my finances in my U.S LLC’s bank. What struck me the most was the abrupt change in demeanor and professionalism from the staff once they realized a sale might not materialize. We received unwarranted and unprofessional remarks from Mr. Erickson, implying doubt over our financial capability and even our honesty regarding past experiences with vehicle repairs. I am a newly self-employed individual and have been quite successful in my venture. However, being in this status for a short period posed some finance approval challenges, even though affordability was not an issue. I maintain a strict discipline of paying myself minimally to optimize tax liabilities. This situation would make it hard to be approved for financing, and this was made very clear to the staff. However, Mr. Erickson chose to use this information against me, making sarcastic remarks about my ability to afford the vehicle and repeatedly insinuating that I was being untruthful about my financial capability and my past experiences. I conveyed a past experience about receiving a substantial quote for suspension repairs on my Audi, using this to exemplify potential repair expenses at high-end dealerships, given that I was informed I would need to approach Mercedes for repairs post-purchase. The response from Sales Manager Andre Cespedes was both dismissive and disrespectful, suggesting that my recount was embellished or overstated. After determining the car didn’t meet our needs, we amicably concluded our visit and departed. However, during our journey home, Mr. Erickson initiated a text conversation, accusing me of fabricating details about my financial condition. Even after clarifying my situation again, he retorted dismissively, "You also told my manager and I that bushings for an Audi are $14,000, but alright man." In this message, he was implying dishonesty about my current circumstances and about the aforementioned comment. This experience was not just about a car purchase gone awry, but about the lack of respect, transparency, and professional integrity we encountered. While we walked away disheartened and frustrated, I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for the dealership and a cautionary note to potential buyers. I would urge potential buyers to approach with caution, scrutinize the information provided, and consider whether the level of professionalism meets their expectations. And to Saskatoon North Hyundai, I would request a reflection upon the values and practices that guide customer interactions, to ensure no one else leaves feeling as disheartened as we did. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this and consider our experience. Here’s to hoping for more transparency, respect, and professionalism in our future interactions. More

Great dealership, great sales reps and finance reps. I would highly recommend to get your vehicles from here. They didn’t waste my time when I went in to inquire / purchase my vehicle. Our experience with this dealership was worse than horrible! We ordered a car in august, it took 6 months to come in. After it arrived they messed up our biweekly payments by $30 biweekly on a 6 year horrible! We ordered a car in august, it took 6 months to come in. After it arrived they messed up our biweekly payments by $30 biweekly on a 6 year loan which could have cost us another $4300. After that they tried to give us less for the trade in value on our vehicle than what was originally discussed. Through all of this they said they would try and compensate us some how. Another two weeks went by and no word. We reached out again and they just decided to refund us our deposit on the new vehicle because we were to much of a headache for them! Was the worst experience I personally have had at a dealership and there professionalism is awful! Would not recommend to anyone! More
If you expect a dealership to be in communication with you about repair work being done on your vehicle, do not go to Saskatoon North Hyundai! I dropped off my Tucson on May 16/22 for two recall notices you about repair work being done on your vehicle, do not go to Saskatoon North Hyundai! I dropped off my Tucson on May 16/22 for two recall notices (software) and repairs to the drivers' side door latch, the heater, and to check an airbag warning light that had come on. Later that day I was notified that the curtain airbags had deployed while the technician was working in the vehicle. Because this is apparently a very rare occurrence, Hyundai Canada would be sending out an engineer to check the vehicle before any repair work could be done. Arrangements were made for me to pick up a loaner the next day. Those were the only calls the dealership made to me, until the middle of November, when I was called to say that my vehicle was ready to be picked up. In the meantime, I had called and emailed regularly asking for updates, only to be told that I would be contacted when my vehicle was ready. In other words, don't call us, we'll call you. I'm not sure what has been going on at the dealership, but I do know that three different service managers were involved in the repair of my vehicle. With that much change in such a short period of time, things must have been chaotic in the service department. Eventually a phone call from Hyundai Canada, rather than a visit by an engineer, was sufficient to begin repairs, but of course there was a delay because the parts had to come from South Korea. When I finally picked up my vehicle on Nov. 23, more than six months after I dropped it off, I met with the technician who was working on it when the airbags deployed, as well as the assistant service manager. They admitted that an email from Hyundai Canada during tue summer, had been missed, which would have allowed the repair work to begin several weeks early er. They also apologized for the complete lack of communication and said that they should have been in regular contact with me throughout the six months my vehicle was with them. I was mostly satisfied with the answers I received during our meeting, and the vehicle was brought around so that I could leave. I was stunned to see significant hail damage on the vehicle. It was November 23, and I was just finding out this damage had occurred! When I commented on it, I was told that nothing had been done because they didn't know anything about my package policy. They could have called me! Once again, there was no communication letting me know what had happened. It turned out the hail storm happened on July 28 - almost 4 months of not getting in touch with me. On Nov. 25, the service manager called me and asked me not to open an insurance claim, that he was trying to figure out how to get the body work done in-house. He assured me that he would call me on Nov. 28 to let me know what the plan was. Today is Dec. 8, and despite emails and numerous phone calls on my part, I have heard nothing from the service manager. Each time I have called in the last ten days, I have been told that he is in a meeting, but he will be in touch as possible. That has not happened. I understand that there may be delays because of supply chain issues these days, but this situation goes so far beyond that. Saskatoon North Hyundai has shown me over and over with their lack of communication, that they do not value or respect me as a customer. It would have been easy to have set an alert on a computer to remind a customer care agent to touch base with me every week or two. I suspect that if this had happened, the email okaying the start of repair work would not have been missed, and who knows, my vehicle might not have even been on the lot when the hail storm hit. It seems to me that there have been several missed opportunities to make this situation right, and Saskatoon North Hyundai failed to take action each time. I have been a loyal Hyundai customer for more than 15 years. Several members of my family own Hyundais because I have so highly recommended them. I have been completely satisfied with my Tucson until this incident, but I will not be returning to Saskatoon North Hyundai the next time I'm looking to purchase a vehicle and I certainly don’t recommend them.
