I contacted Lockwood Kia with regards to a vehicle I was looking to purchase. I started by having an online chat with one of their sales professionals and received a quote for my trade in. I knew that the q looking to purchase. I started by having an online chat with one of their sales professionals and received a quote for my trade in. I knew that the quote was conditional on the quality of my car, (which is impeccable) but after driving 3 hours to get there I was offered just over half of the quoted amount with a take or leave it attitude ..... I left it !! I understand the difficulties associated with online quotes but as stated my car is impeccable and the red book price was in keeping with the original online quote, which is why I made the 3 hour (one way) journey. Very disappointed in the tactics used to get me "through the door", I was in the car sales business for over 20 years and thought I'd seen all the shifty moves, but these guys knew I had a 6 hour round trip and figured I wouldn't walk out without making the deal .......... WRONG !!! More
