DEALERSHIP SERVICE - "I was won over by this group" For a long while, I was skeptical of dealerships and bought used cars on my own and getting service through friends' shops. One afternoon out of curiosity, I wandered into Courtesy and was directed to Kenny Haynes. Kenny surprised me with the number of questions he asked about my wants and needs. No pressure at all; then he proceeded to flash some very good prices at me. I bought the car and decided to try their service as well. That was about 25 years and 10 cars ago. I discovered the hidden value of up-to-date info on maintenance reminders and recall fixes not normally seen. It wasn't long before I was being greeted by my first name from a few in the service department. And not just a fly-by but a short chat about why I was there today or how is the family or how did that vacation go. The company name COURTESY, is truly their brand and shows right from the grass roots of this business. Shane and Will have been long-time trusted consultants in my auto concerns. Scott and Alex are newer friends in the shop and are obviously on board with the program as well. Friendly and Transparent Purchased a Focus at Courtesy Ford end of 2012 and have had all my regular service there. Always pretty simple and straight forward, staff friendly, w Purchased a Focus at Courtesy Ford end of 2012 and have had all my regular service there. Always pretty simple and straight forward, staff friendly, work completed, never a complaint. My most recent visit wasn't general service...car was hesitating when stepping on the gas and also, tire pressure light kept turning on and off randomly (tires were fine). Being that I am not comfortable with vehicle repair as I know little about cars, always has me a little anxious when dealing with something out of the norm. Arrived for my booked appointment and dealt with Alex, re-explained my concerns with the car. What I liked most was that Alex took the time to super simplify and explain exactly what was going on with the car and repair. Alex made sure I fully understood and was comfortable with what he explained. This made me feel comfortable in an uncomfortable environment. When the car was done, Alex was with a customer so a Shane helped me finish up. What was great is Shane again did an overview of the work done, why it was done and the result. I told him I had learned more about my car in a couple of conversations that I had ever learned. I left thinking I would have zero issue coming back with anything out of the norm with the car again. I booked an oil change a couple months out. When I was back in for the oil change Alex saw me and came over and asked how things were and if car was riding ok and accelerating normal, it was and I thanked him for his great customer service. As I waited for the oil change I figured I would take the time and seek out Alex's boss and was referred to Will Taylor. I explained my previous service visit and experience with Alex and Shane and how they both made feel really comfortable with what had to be done and what was done on the car. I told him that I'd appreciated how things were simplified when explaining the issue and repair to me. Will thanked me for searching him out and gave me his card and said anytime I had a question or concern about the car to always reach out for assistance. I'd say friendly, simplified and transparent best described my experience with the team at Courtesy Ford. More
