My 2020 Kia turbo sportage has 29077 k and was told needed a front and rear brake service due to rust accumulation. I winter in Florida and can’t imagine why it would be required so soon. Being a 65 year old woman I listened to the experts being concerned for my drive to Florida next week. My invoice is very convoluted showing 3.62 hours of labour spent when I was only there for 2 hours and 55 minutes. When I questioned this I was told I was charged less than quoted and that 2 people worked on the car. I am told by several car industry people that NO way should this service be required at this point in my vehicles life. I feel I was taken advantage of and over charged. I had only come in for an oil change. I called the owner of the dealership, who sold me the car on 2 different days and left messages asking for him to call me to discuss and he didn’t bother. I guess after the sale I am no longer important. I definitely won’t be going back here More

I actually was looking into a used vehicle on the lot, but with the help of this Awesome Team I ma with the help of the amazing Staff and Management. Worst customer service I've ever seen. My mom (a senior citizen with health issues) bought a car and was led to believe that an extended warranty was included in the purchase price for the My mom (a senior citizen with health issues) bought a car and was led to believe that an extended warranty was included in the purchase price for the vehicle. When asked whether she had to provide a down payment, the dealership told her that "the bank" demanded $2,000. After the purchase I looked over the contract and realized that $4,500 was added to the financing to pay for the warranty so I cancelled it. The dealership told me they would be giving my mom a cheque for the full $4,500. After waiting weeks for the cheque they finally told me to come pick it up, then called me just a few hours before I was supposed to get it to tell me they aren't actually allowed to do that and the money has to go back to the financing company. I also spoke to the financing company later and found out that they never demanded the $2,000 down payment at all - Cardinal Kia had listed it on the only financing application that was submitted by the dealership and the dealership never asked the financing company if my mom could forego the down payment despite explicitly telling us that the opposite. Do yourself a favour and shop for your car somewhere else. If you do shop here be sure to check your contract very carefully as I know another person who also managed to buy an extended warranty at this dealership without realizing it, and since they didn't catch that until >30 days later they couldn't cancel it like we did. If you find the car you want here and you really need to get it from this dealership then at the very least I suggest that you arrange your own financing ahead of time rather than trust this dealership to do so. If your considering buying from this place you may also want to know that the dealership was fined by OMVIC for failing to disclose accidents and commercial use of their used vehicles in 2020 (https://www.omvic.on.ca/portal/Portals/0/pdf/discipline/2020/DisciplineDecision-1019554-Ontario-Limited-o-a-Cardinal-KIA-and%E2%80%93Giuseppe-Butera-Nov-18.pdf), so it's definitely "buyer beware" with this place. Purchased a used Subaru Forester in November with only 5k on the odometer. Brought it to Subaru Niagara for the first 10k service check. There the mechanic pointed out the shoddy repair done to engine bay wiring harness due to rodent damage. I truly expected to be on my own to fix this, after all it was well past ninety days. Matt at Cardinal Kia was great, He agreed that the repair (not performed by the dealership) was indeed shoddy and would cause problems down the road. Matt got me in the very next morning and oversaw the repairs personally. And that it would be repaired properly and to his standards as if it were his own vehicle. He even lent me a vehicle for the day. I have to say that the repaired wiring harness looks factory. Customer service can make or break a dealership. Cardinal Kia of Niagara Falls gets it.
