Purchased my car there. When I went to take care of a Hyundai campaign repair, the service personnel seemed to know nothing about it. I contacted this dealership about the new Hyundai Ionic 5. I was forwarded to no less than three individuals, the last indicating that several vehicles were in stock but I would not be allowed to drive th 5. I was forwarded to no less than three individuals, the last indicating that several vehicles were in stock but I would not be allowed to drive the vehicle unless I could offer reasonable assurance I intended to buy it. I countered that I could not offer such a guarantee until I drove the car and judged its suitability, to which he responded that the dealership could not allow "just anyone off the street" to drive the car since they were so "rare." I responded that I had no intention of buying a vehicle I hadn't driven, and concluded the call as he accused me of having misinterpreted his words. I contacted GM, Rick Trinkl, in whose absence GSM, Justin Mauer, responded. He indicated the salesperson with whom I spoke, while new and lacking finesse, had correctly reported the dealership's policy of not allowing test drives of the Ionic 5 unless a prospective customer was judged a bonafide buyer. Although the dealership had in stock one vehicle they were using for test drives, they reserved the right to screen who actually drives it. I responded that this impressed me as counterintuitive, as someone who had never driven an EV may be converted if only he was afforded an opportunity to drive one. My sense was that I was wasting my time making this observation. I have since contacted another Hyundai dealer whose reception was far more professional and appreciative. More

I wasn’t helped by anyone I was ignored by most of the staff. I kept watching people walk right passed me into this room only for employees so I sat patiently outside waiting for someone to assist me. As I sat with my son I listened to vulgar talk of men. I will spare everyone the details but I am writing this to let everyone know the man in charge as I found out after asking is the one saying horrible things about his genitalia to his staff members and everyone is laughing while people can here you right outside the door. DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE !!! DO NOT GO NEAR THESE PEOPLE. I could only imagine what else I would have heard if I hadn’t just got out as fast as I could. More

So, for me, purchasing a vehicle has always been a stressful endeavor as I carry negative bios based on prior experiences. To play devil's advocate, I am skeptical by nature and expect to be "ripped o stressful endeavor as I carry negative bios based on prior experiences. To play devil's advocate, I am skeptical by nature and expect to be "ripped off" sort of speak. Yes, everyone generally starts off helpful and pleasant as expected when entering the sales process but then everything changes when you hit the bargaining table. In short, this was not my experience despite my preconceived notions and expectations. Throughout the bargaining process, everything was kept extremely transparent and easy to understand. Furthermore, 15 to 20 minutes after we had already agreed to a final price/monthly payment Pat and Jeff actually came back with a lower payment then agreed to despite not being prompted to do so. They literally freely elected to give me a better deal as a direct result of working with Justin, the manager on duty at the time. Never have I experienced nor expected such an outcome post final price agreement. The "why" to this I can only presume is based on this dealership's internal management style, no-pressure approach, and overall commitment to changing the car buying experience. This is the type of customer service I thought had died a long time ago but indeed I stand corrected. I love my 2022 G70 & would recommend Larry H Miller Peoria to anybody, seriously! Yes, I know there are plenty of fake reviews and incentivized claims out there but not me, not this review, I literally would not have the time nor desire to jot all this down if I wasn't anything other than thoroughly impressed and pleased with my purchase, cheers! More
