What Others Say

Very upset with this whole experience. Should have paid more attention to negative reviews. What do you do when the owner will not even bother to return my calls. Sick to my stomach on how you treated me and my family.

Purchased new vehicle and several days later discovered carpeted floor mats were missing. GM build and price on line says these are "standard and included". Contacted salesperson, said chev does not include mats and he said he explained that to me. Neither statement is true. When we negotiated the sale, he said that they were going to give me these all season mats for $280.00 plus tax, and my thoughts were some good Weathertech or Husky that covered the floor for the winter. He stated that these mats did not come with the car, but were purchased from the parts department and take one to two weeks to come in. Never ever ever did he say no "standard and included mats" come with this vehicle. After I reminded him of this, he said he would look after it. That never happened so I went to the dealership to find out why. Apparently he was not available so they directed me to this public relations guy or sales manager, whatever and I asked him, where at my mats. Wow, that was a big mistake. He proceeded to berate me for getting too good of a deal and they gave me too much for my trade in. He was off on some tangent and I had enough of his rudeness and point blank told him how I felt. Under no circumstances did I swear at him, but swore at my discontent. He then showed me the door, guess he did not like someone talking down to him, but those are the characteristics of a narcissist. It makes me laugh that his attempt to pretend to be a big bully was a farce.I attempted to reach out to the owner and apparently, he does not get involved with operations, at least that is what I was told me. I tried on three separate occasions to contact the owner and to no avail as usual, period, no response whatsoever. These so called high priced mats that I had to purchase are basically garbage. I can attest to that, as a licensed auto body repairer since 1971, I have a really good knowledge of what is good and what is not and these are useless, period.I spent my first career at a top notch GM dealership for almost 20 years as a troubleshooter and was xxxx good at it. Since I needed mats, I ended up purchasing the "standard and included" ones I was supposed to get and they were probably mine to begin with. I only paid for them because I was sick of putting down paper and cardboard to protect my carpet from these junk mats I paid 280 bucks for that was 280 bucks too much. You can actually buy them on ebay, and they are better, for around $100.00 Canadian. After doing what I think is quite a bit of research and oh yes, I did that for almost 25 years at Conestoga College here in Kitchener and the senior Technologist for the School of Engineering Technology. My former manager referred to me as the "go to guy" because if there was a problem, I would fix it. This whole deal with Scherer Chev stinks, I mean it smells bad and the more I look into it, the worse it gets.l When you deal with several thousand students over the years, you get a real sense when someone is lying and this stood out like a sore thumb. Actually, what I have learned when I look up fraud, this is considered "bait and switch" which is illegal. in my books and in yours as well, thusly why I am here now. When you ask people today what their biggest fear is, more than likely the majority will say purchasing a new vehicle. I guess I was naive in that I figured that those days of the curbsiders and less than truthful dealers were long gone.It certainly seems that the days of customer service are a definite thing of the past as well. Most of my acquaintances nowadays prefer to go out of town to the smaller places. They tell me you can negotiate with them, they really do treat you fairly and make you feel at ease. That is where I am headed next time for sure. Harrassing and threatening, what can I say. I simply wrote a truthful review on what I saw and experienced with a purchase and how I got ripped off. They do not like my reviews and keep trying to have them erased. Why you ask, well, af

The staff is very Knowledgeable helpful friendly pleasant if you have a question they gave an answer

Purchased a new vehical, it was clean and looked good but when did they stop cleaning under the hood. It was full of leaves and the motor was covered iin dust and dirt. Inside door jams and tailgate was also dirty with dust. My trade in was cleaner than my new car purchased. Was told that is the way all the new vehicals go out now. They did have the vehical I wanted, know one else did. The sales rep was good.

I recently purchased a brand new vehicle from Scherer Chevrolet Buick GMC Ltd., and unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of disappointing. From the very beginning, there were issues with the vehicle I selected, which left me feeling misled and frustrated. When I initially inspected the vehicle, the salesperson informed me that the battery was dead but assured me that they would replace it with an identical model, albeit in a different color and lacking sunroof or leather seats. Despite my concerns, I was told that all the features would remain the same. However, upon picking up the vehicle, I discovered that it was missing a crucial feature – adaptive cruise control. Naturally, I returned to the dealership to address this issue, hoping for a resolution. However, instead of receiving proper assistance, I was met with arrogance from the manager, who callously dismissed my concerns, stating that there was nothing he could do. Not only was this response incredibly unhelpful, but it also highlighted a lack of accountability and care for customer satisfaction. In an attempt to salvage the situation, I proposed a solution by suggesting the addition of a roof rack to accommodate my recreational needs, specifically for biking with my wife. The manager agreed to consider this request but failed to follow through. Despite reaching out via email, I never received a response or any acknowledgment of my concerns. Overall, my experience with Scherer Chevrolet Buick GMC Ltd. has left me feeling incredibly dissatisfied and undervalued as a customer. The misleading sales tactics, coupled with the dismissive attitude of the management team, have tarnished what should have been an exciting and enjoyable purchase experience. I would caution others to think twice before considering this dealership for their automotive needs. That Was Monday April 15. I sent the manager a follow up email that day with my number. I have not even got a reply yet saying he is looking into it.. I left a poor google review, and now resorting to online social media.

Solid dealership. Made my new purchase enjoyable and easy. Thanks to Kyle and Brenda for the wonderful experience.
