On 2/22/2022 I went to Upstate Toyota looking for a new 1794 Tundra, the salesperson took down exactly what I wanted and said I would have it by the end of May. In April the salesperson called me and said 1794 Tundra, the salesperson took down exactly what I wanted and said I would have it by the end of May. In April the salesperson called me and said it would now be June. In May the salesperson called me and said it would now be July. In August the salesperson called me and said, “well we really don’t know when your vehicle will be in but I can’t believe they will push it back past the end of the year”. On 10/26/2022 a factory sales rep. for NY and NJ called me and said,”it will be March before you see that vehicle”. Does anyone at Upstate Toyota know what they are doing? A 1794 exactly like I want is at the Toyota dealer in Erie but Upstate can’t get one. At this point I can’t recommend Upstate Toyota to anyone. Gary Chamberlain More

Last Monday my daughter had her Toyota in the service department as it would not start. She left a note listing what components had been checked. On of those items was the started had been checked and wa department as it would not start. She left a note listing what components had been checked. On of those items was the started had been checked and was not the problem. Later that day she got a call informing her the starter was bad and had to be replaced. I contacted the dealership and informed them they must have made a mistake as I h ad tested the starter and it performed ok. They said they would check it again. They informed me the starter had a short and needed replacement. I went to see them and was told they would replace the starter for $650. I asked what they would do if I paid the $650 and it still wouldn't start. The reply was that it could be something else wrong. Sensing the beginning of a rather large bill on the way I told them I would take the car to another garage. They said I had to pay for diagnostics. I replied i would not pay and was told to get the car off their lot that day. I took the car a half mile down the road to another garage who repaired the car in minutes by cleaning a corroded ground wire on the engine. More

I PURCHASED A 2012 CHEVY CRUZE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP ON AUGUST 2, 2022. I DROVE IT ABOUT 110 MILES AND THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THE SAME DAY. SO I NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP THAT TOLD ME THE ENGINE LIGHT WILL AUGUST 2, 2022. I DROVE IT ABOUT 110 MILES AND THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THE SAME DAY. SO I NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP THAT TOLD ME THE ENGINE LIGHT WILL "CLEAR" AFTER DRIVING THE CAR SOME MORE. BEFORE I PURCHASED IT, I WAS TOLD THAT "EVERYTHING WAS GOOD", NO PROBLEMS. I AM UPSET BECAUSE THE "WARRANTY" IS SUPPOSED TO BE FOR 4000 MILES BUT ON THE WAY HOME THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND THEN THE GENERAL MANAGER HESITATES ON A RESOLUTION TO THE ISSUE OF THE SALESMEN, JASON OR TONY TO INFORM ME OF ANY PROBLEMS BEFORE I PURCHASED THIS CAR.! IT SEEMS LIKE THEY MIGHT OF "CLEARED ANY CODES" TO PREVENT THE ENGINE LIGHT FROM COMING ON RIGHT AWAY. I AM WORRIED OF WHY THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND HOW THE DEALERSHIP WILL SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. I WILL SEEK CONTACTING THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE IF NECESSARY!!!! More

We had been a customer of Toyota Batavias for several years and recently went in to purchase a car for my daughter as well as referring her friend to the dealership. When we got there Leon our salesperson acted as though he couldn’t be bothered. He wasn’t willing to work with us at all. My daughters friend asked to test drive a Toyota Rav 4 Prime that they had come in and Leon told him “no” because they have people come from out of state and they don’t want miles on the vehicles. That’s bad business. Needless to say he lost 4 loyal Toyota customers. I hope it was worth it. Just plain greedy!!! More

Repair: wanted $139 to “diagnose” problem,sounded like my DR. I already knew the problem. I smelled a rip off and cancelled. You can not buy a headlamp plastic cover alone, must buy whole assembly at approx. $140 plus labor, no wonder Toyota is more value in junk parts than you get in trade in! More

Thieves and liars! Watch out for Batavia Toyota! Took my prius in there for yet another computer fix. Asked them to check my calipers, brakes and bearings because I ha Watch out for Batavia Toyota! Took my prius in there for yet another computer fix. Asked them to check my calipers, brakes and bearings because I had an intermittent squeal. First day they had my car, I was told they didn't find any brake problems or bearing problems but that I had a broken clamp on my exhaust and a loose heat shield. I was told they had to drop the entire exhaust to fix it; lie #1; watch a video in the least; they don't have to drop the exhaust!!!! Now my family has had a terrible event happen to where we are suddenly taking care of 2 little boys that just lost their father and that I was in a financial bind. They quote me 375+ for those repairs. My boyfriend welds but I thought with all that's going on, when will he have time, so I told them to go ahead since there were no other problems. I got that fixed and then receive a call the next day that my caliper is stuck and need a whole rear brake job for $700+!!!!!! I called the manager and he tells me, well they only looked at the front brakes.....I got my car back and told them they were liars and would never go to them again. Then I brought my car to my friend that has a shop (services state police vehicles too); she just called me and told me my brakes are in excellent shape (8 out of 10 on the pads) rotors are great, and one caliper runs about a degree hotter than the other. She asked me who told me this, then informed me that BATAVIA TOYOTA has done this to another person just this week alone. Now my parents go there and they are in their 80s which scares me for how many people they are lying to and stealing from...out right STEALING! More
