***Beware of Porsche Arlington Service Center*** I highly recommend anyone thinking of getting their vehicle serviced here to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. In the end you will be scammed, kept in the dark and cheated out of you money and time. The transparency of this service center is subpar and I still do not know what I’m paying for when I pick up my vehicle. I do not believe they have the customer in their best interest because it is beyond me why they will recommend not repairing a major defect that could cause catastrophic engine failure. All while telling me this was in an effort to help me save money, but the quote did not decrease for doing less work. I reached out to Porsche of Arlington to have IMS bearing, RMS Seal, Clutch Replacement, and Porsche classic radio installed. Service advisor initially made me feel comfortable and excited to get the work done. They also provided a loaner car. The IMS bearing is a well known documented issue with 986/996 models. So this was very important for peace of mind. I dropped the vehicle off for repairs and was contacted by the service advisor that the IMS bearing was “NOT LOOSE” and “DID NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED” as for the RMS Seal it in fact was leaking and they replaced it as well as only replacing the flange for the IMS bearing. I was initially told the clutch was fine but the fly wheel had a crack. I agreed to the fly wheel repair and requested an updated full cost break-down estimate. I only received a lump-sum estimate being more expensive than the initial estimate with less work being completed. I suggested since they were already in there it only makes sense to complete the IMS bearing and the service advisor agreed. He then calls me back telling me the shop foreman recommends me not replacing it and that its failure rate is less common than the LNengineering one that I was waiting to order because I needed to know if I required a single or dual bearing. During this time I have not yet received my request for updated cost estimate or which bearing is required for the installation. Over the course of the week I requested multiple estimates and still have not received an estimate. They proceeded with the repairs and I have come to find out that they ended up replacing the whole clutch and fly wheel without an estimate and the price being more expensive. I continued to press the advisor about the quote and what bearing I need because this was an important part of the repair and have been told because the flywheel is in place I will also need to repay for new seals, new bolts, and 3hr more labor on top of what was already “quoted”. Finally received my vehicle back after 10+ days for a service that was initially supposed to take 3-4 days. The oil is leaking still and the also provided me with a multipoint inspection with $22k of other things that needs to be done. Keep in mind I purchased this car from them a week early. They provided a multipoint inspection that passed at that point. Please spend you money else where and don’t make the same mistake I made. Update: Took car back to get the same leak fixed. Had the car for about 3 weeks. When I got it back it was the oil was 3 quarts low. Didn’t even bother having them fix it. Would think that would be something checked when you take a car in for a oil leak. More

Nothing outlandish, just an oil change and emissions as well as price quotes on some parts. After dropping my car off on Friday morning I was told my service advisor would be in touch "soon", but that they were a little backed up. I didn't hear anything Friday or Saturday so I stopped in on Sunday for a status check. They told me a technician had been assigned but it didn't appear they'd touched my car yet. I was told my advisor would call or email me with an update on Monday. Didn't hear anything Monday so I stopped by on Tuesday and was told it didn't appear that my car had been worked on yet, but that my advisor would reach out Wednesday with an update. Hearing nothing on Wednesday I came in a third time that evening and stated that if I didn't hear anything by Thursday (today, April, 20) I would pick my car up and take it elsewhere for service. That clearly made a difference as I heard from my advisor Thursday morning. At this point I had given the dealer nearly a week to perform what should have been, at most, a few hours work and decided to only get emissions checked and pick up the car to take it elsewhere. Upon pickup they "lost" my car and spent an hour (5:50PM-6:50PM) trying to find it. It was in the lot triple parked behind two other cars. Upon pickup I find out that even though I've been charged for an emissions test, there was no certificate with results and they had managed to break my keyfob such that it now only works as a physical key, and the keyless functions are dead. While the employees I spoke to in the dealership were polite there was absolutely no follow through. Needless to say, I would not recommend Porsche of Arlington to anyone and I will not be returning in the future. More
