Back in January 2024, I went to Planet Honda because I had a service light on. 2009 Honda CRV - They found the problem and fixed that. They did their checklist to find other problems and found that my l had a service light on. 2009 Honda CRV - They found the problem and fixed that. They did their checklist to find other problems and found that my left rear driveshaft boot was leaking. They replaced the driveshaft (axle), replaced my brakes, etc to the tune of 2300.00. around 2000 miles later, on April 28, 2024 I was driving on I-25 south by Castle Rock going around 65 and there was a very horrendous bang - I thought maybe my tire was blown although this was louder. I was able to pull to the side of the road - not much traffic on a Sunday morning. I looked and my tires were ok. Not knowing what happened, I got off on the Plum Creek exit (it was where this happened) I noticed that the car was ok until I got around 40 and then it was a loud clunking. My brother drove down to help me and checked the car and noticed that the left side driveshaft was not attached anymore. There was a huge play in any direction. I parked the car in the Midas parking lot. On Monday, I called Planet Honda about this and a tow. They didn't call me back. When I finally talked to them, they informed me they didn't do tows. My brother and I went down to Honda personally and talked to Connor the service manager. He really wasn't interested but said if we towed it they would look at it and make a determination. We finally found a tow company through a friend and had it towed to Planet Honda. Noah, the service advisor called me when it came in and asked why they had it. Obviously Connor, the service manager had not set up anything. I informed Noah what had happened. I also called the General Manager and left a call and message which he never returned. Texted Noah and called for an update - nothing. I had to finally call the main number and get someone to get me into Noah's voice mail. He called back and informed me that the part had failed but it wasn't their fault (?) Also that both axles were broken off sockets and stabilizers, both rear stabilizer bar links were broken and sway bar and had to be replaced (this was a CATASTROPHIC event), the differential was also leaking and had no fluid needed to be flushed. I don't go off road, I only drive the highways and neighborhood roads. There was no reason for the left rear driveshaft (axle) to be broken. I'm sure that it caused the rest of the damage when it broke, and I'm lucky I wasn't in a huge accident. They had my car in and checked (supposedly) everything in January. They found the leakage in the left rear driveshaft boot but didn't say anything about any other problems with the rear end. I only drove another 2000 miles!!! I can maybe see that the differential seal could start to leak after their service but that's all. Also, when they gave me their estimate of 4,202.56 they included replacing both rear axles with aftermarket parts 2,213.10. They had another line item with replaced both rear axles with Honda parts with the left one under warranty for 1,123.33. On the original visit, they quoted me on the front brake repair and it was almost double what Big O Tire quoted me but the car was in and to save time, I ok'd the replacement. I thought that maybe Honda parts were better so worth the extra price - I can't afford to have this work done so I have LOST my car. I don't recommend anyone to go to Planet Honda for service. They don't care and are not reputable. Also, I asked about a loaner and they looked at me like I was crazy and said they didn't have any available - that's what they said when I first brought the car in for repairs in January. they didn't give me the option to just replace the driveshaft (axle) that is warranty (even though it wasn't (?) their fault it failed - part or installation??) I probably will see if they could do that and then see if I can find anyone who wants to buy it. I still owe 4800 on it. This is devastating. Sandi Meunier More
Have driven Hondas for over 30 years - most recent is a 2011 CR-Z that I LOVE even though visibility is horribly compromised by the car’s design. However, there has been years’ long issues with the battery 2011 CR-Z that I LOVE even though visibility is horribly compromised by the car’s design. However, there has been years’ long issues with the battery - I have forgotten how many times it has been replaced with no real answer as to why dead battery continues to occur. Was in yet again yesterday. Met service manager Orlena Lutz. FINALLY, someone who actually listens to a woman who knows her own car unlike previous good ol’ boy service managers with the mental eye roll. Orlena went far beyond in service and courtesy and effort to determine the issue than any one else has in years. When I first went to Golden Honda, there was a woman in the service department. She also was fabulous. Get a clue, auto dealers/service departments - there are brilliant, capable, professional women. Out there! You are fortunate to have Orlena. More

I have been a customer of Planet Honda for 23 years. The first 21 years were very good under two GMs. The last two has been very difficult under the new GM. Getting the dealership to honor the original The first 21 years were very good under two GMs. The last two has been very difficult under the new GM. Getting the dealership to honor the original terms of my purchase agreement for my 2016 Honda Civic EX has been a nightmare. I prepaid a long-term (120,000 miles) agreement for both an Extended Contract and a zero deductible Service Plus Agreement. Both agreements were request minimize the hassles during regular maintenance. Under the current GM, instead of honoring the agreement as previous GM's did, the dealership manipulated the agreement - shifting it from a mileage agree to a number of oil changes approach to prematurely terminate the agreement. This approach did not exist during the period of my purchase agreement. The Service rep did not mention the termination of the agreement until I came to pickup my car - which I thought was unethical. The Service Agent was the agent who generally managed my appointments. When I arrived to pickup my car he had someone else handle it, walked pass me and said nothing. More

I HAVE BEEN PLEASED WITH THE HONDA SERVICE FROM THE VERY FIRST TIME I USED THEM !!! Their cross street even has my last name "MOSS ST." All joking aside I am most pleased to have Planet Honda Service in my life. The place is clean, the staff is very friendly, their building has easy access to the highway. That is enough ... I like the place and you will too. I have been going there with my Honda CRV Since 2011... I will buy my next one when this one wears out at this dealership... More

I bought the best (used) car I have ever owned from Planet Honda but discovered several months later that there was significant damage to the undercarriage that made it unsafe to drive long term. The p Planet Honda but discovered several months later that there was significant damage to the undercarriage that made it unsafe to drive long term. The pre-sales inspection did not reveal the damage. Below is the last message I sent them after my local mechanic fixed the car because Planet Honda was unable to find the necessary part before my people did: "The repair cost me $3,248.97 which is 9.4% of the over $34,000 purchase price. I understand your skepticism that your people failed to detect the obvious impact damage to the subframe before selling it to me. However, had I experienced a large impact resulting in such significant damage, wouldn’t I, or anyone else, have immediately taken the car in for a safety inspection? Once again, the damage occurred before my purchase and was only discovered during the snow tire replacement. I hope you will do the right thing and reimburse the repair cost" PH reply: "We trust the inspection that we did on the vehicle and do not accept any liability on this issue. We will not be reimbursing you." Well, Mr. Watson, either your technicians missed this obvious damage or someone is lying. Either way, Planet Honda is not a place anyone should trust. Service department price gouging is breathtaking! Our Pilot had air conditioning that was not getting cold. They diagnosed a bad a/c compressor which is understandable. After the repairs topped $3,50 Our Pilot had air conditioning that was not getting cold. They diagnosed a bad a/c compressor which is understandable. After the repairs topped $3,500, I started questioning everything even though it was too late. I discovered the compressor can be bought at an auto parts store for $120-$170. The authentic Honda part sells for full retail at $790. Fine, I actually prefer to have the genuine Honda part. But, the service department jacks that part up to over $1,300! The. They claimed the radiator had a leak. Funny thing, it never leaked at home in the garage. They replaced the radiator with a Chinese plastic tank version which sells for $80. Planet Honda charged me over $500 for that part. Ironically, they didn’t charge for antifreeze which means they put the old antifreeze back in. I certainly would have preferred new antifreeze and was surprised it wasn’t done. The rest was labor. The sales department for new cars is great but I will never return for service or maintenance.
