The absolute most awful car buying experience of my life occurred at this location. I honestly don't even feel like I was treated like a decent human being by the staff here and the fact that I was a woman occurred at this location. I honestly don't even feel like I was treated like a decent human being by the staff here and the fact that I was a woman gave me them permission to comment on "my attitude." News flash, women are allowed to be opinionated and advocate for themselves. The saddest part, the manager and general manager will do absolutely nothing to try and correct their own finance department's errors. Please steer away. I know one person's bad experience must only be taken with a grain of salt, but I spent many nights awake and crying over the burden placed on my family due to the actions of Ontario VW. More

Water pump replacement, that went south. When my car was Water pump replacement, that went south. When my car was returned to me.... It suddenly had a huge gap in the steering and then Jimmy explained that Water pump replacement, that went south. When my car was returned to me.... It suddenly had a huge gap in the steering and then Jimmy explained that my lil beetle needed a wheel alignment and tires. Well yeah, now it does with that huge play in the steering now!!!!! If Ontario did not want my business, someone should have just told me, like the good ol' Southerners share their feelings. My steering did NOT have a gap before entering the dealership. Changing the water pump should never change the gap in the steering. Finding another dealership fa far far away. More

Nothing but positive except for the 1 fly in the ointment I was a return customer looking to buy one of the last Beetle's made. I already own a 2016. I met Lavel Darty last year when I came in for an oil cha I was a return customer looking to buy one of the last Beetle's made. I already own a 2016. I met Lavel Darty last year when I came in for an oil change. I asked him to find me a 2019 Beetle that was just like my current one. He tried hunting one down for me with no luck. About June he texted wanting to know if I still wanted one, and if so, he'd keep searching. I gave up since the year was half over. Two months later I am at the dealership and there was my car. Jim Willhide i said he'd let him know I was looking for him. Lavel came in, we test drove the car and I agreed to buy it. It was the easiest car purchase I ever made. I wish I could say the entire experience was great but the fly in the ointment was Manager Shant Bashian. I wanted an explanation as to the change in the agreed upon price of the car and his patronizing ego was down right condescending and arrogant. He strutted in to explain that a mistake was made on paper with the price of the car and "He" had to fix it, which resulted in a larger purchase price. I did not get his logic and his high and mighty attitude was very off putting. When I was taken into financing with Michelle who is very nice and quite good at filling in for others, she showed me the price which was not my agreed to price. She went for help. In comes Mr. Personality himself, Mr Bashian. As he enters he says outloud, "I've already explained this to you, do I need to explain it again?" I believe he actually heard himself and realized how unprofessional and demeaning his comment was. I was appalled at his cavalier, pretentious exclamation and he saw it on my face. He quickly changed his tune and said, 'It would be my pleasure to explain this to you 'AGAIN'." Let me say that I love my new car, I love the professionalism and can do attitudes of Jim Willhide, Lavel Darty and Michelle. I'm thankful that I got the last car I ever hope to own, because I will not have to do business with Mr. Bashian again. I am not going to let a Little fly ruin my past and future experience with Ontario VW. My past 3 1/2 years of doing business with Jim and Lavel has been great and will continue I'm sure as long as I have a fly swatter. More
Best Lemonade Ever WARNING: If you are looking for a real lemon, please save yourself a headache and go to your nearesr farm. DO NOT purchase a used vehicle from this WARNING: If you are looking for a real lemon, please save yourself a headache and go to your nearesr farm. DO NOT purchase a used vehicle from this dealership we will guarantee you will buy a lemon from here. We have been returning customers and time and time again Alvaro always goes out of his way to meet our family needs. Alvaro will always get more than 5 Stars from us, now Management and the Service Department not even a star. Because our belief in the VW product and Alvaro’s Excellent Customer Service we decided to buy a used GTI for our son while helping him establish his credit. During the sales transaction General Manager Shant Bashian facilitated for us to sign the last of the contract. Mr. Bashian was speaking volumes of this “amazing” car that former owner had to get rid of it because his wife just couldn’t get the hang of learning how to drive a car with manual transmission (keep this in mind), the sale was executed. We took the car home and noticed that the clutch was not operating properly, so after 3 days we called the dealership back and was asked to bring it back. Mr. Bashian gave it a “quick test drive” and came back basically telling me that I burnt the clutch and that I am now responsible to pay for the repairs and they would not accept any ownership or responsibility for the mishap. I am not sure whether Mr. Bashian believes he is the only General Manager who abuses his authority over his staff or a Demigod who does not have any customer service etiquette or the customer’s best interest believing he could rip off customers so his pockets could continue to grow. We are not even sure how he managed to take over a prestigious position with such approach in blaming customers and instilling “accountability” to a customer? I informed Mr. Bashian that was a load of bull that there was no way we could have burnt a clutch in less than 100 miles and allowed them an opportunity to fix their mishap otherwise we would never EVER do business with them. So the VW Ontario team reassured us they would look into it further and would get back to us. Only to wait a day later and be told it would cost us $3,500 to fix it! We reminded them that we haven’t even had the car financed yet Mr. Bashian stated he would look further. A day later passed by and now as a “Good Faith” and his efforts to meet us “halfway” if we pay $1,500 they would fix it. Ummm we reminded him we are not here to “negotiate” another sales transaction for their mistake. At this point Mr. Bashian stated his offer is “firm” and if we arranged for the car to be fixed somewhere else it is our responsibility. Supposedly they put the car back together and we picked up the car only for the car to be in an inoperable situation so we ended up getting it towed at our expense. Interesting piece to all this story is that while I was at the Service Department waiting a representative expressed his sympathy towards our negative experience with Mr. Bashian. The Representative informed me that he was interested in buying the GTI for himself, but noticed the clutch “just didn’t seemed right” so he left it alone.....the Representative expressed frustration with management there and often observed Mr. Bashian completely disregarding customer’s best interest and in this case he opted to blame and attempted to pull another sales prank over our heads as opposed to really addressing the issue with the owners of the dealership and alleviating the issue... but instead fabricates lies to cover his trail of lies (or he thinks) we will definitely allow a Judge make that determination.
