Capitol Chevrolet should have taken my deposit the day before, given me the loan that they secured for me, and I should have been allowed to buy the car I wanted. Rather than be ignored, have my credit ra before, given me the loan that they secured for me, and I should have been allowed to buy the car I wanted. Rather than be ignored, have my credit ran multiple times for no reason, and have the rug pulled out from underneath me by a manager no less. * Backstory below I've been searching for over 2 months for a very specific BMW. On Wednesday March 27th I found the one at Capitol Chevrolet.. I reached out for more info and a got a prompt response from Obi one of the salesman. Obi sent me more pics and even a video of the car. I slept on it and Thursday March 28th I was sold. Obi did it, over the phone I was confident enough in the car, that I wanted to put in a deposit to lock it down and not lose out on a chance to buy it. Capitol Chevrolet ran my credit a bunch in order for them to finance me. After I kicked back their first offer they said they "got it done at $1,000 down and $1,050 a month". I said that was great and I would call the next morning. I asked if I put down a $500 deposit how long it would be good for whether that's 1 week - 2 weeks, whatever it may be... I didn't hear anything back. The next morning Friday March 29th, I go to look up the car, and it's gone from their website. I asked about it and was told that the manager, Lincoln Stahl decided to buy the car! The car that I tried to put down a deposit on the day before and the car that they "got the loan done" for me was no longer available. I won't find another car like that one..The previous owner did very specific modifications to it and it cannot be replicated easily. DGDG Capitol Chevrolet truly encapsulates the stigma of the old school used car dealership mentality. I purchased a 2023 Z71 Chevrolet Tahoe one week ago from this dealership. I agreed to a deal with the s the old school used car dealership mentality. I purchased a 2023 Z71 Chevrolet Tahoe one week ago from this dealership. I agreed to a deal with the sales person relative to purchase price and financing. When the sales rep proceeded with getting the paper work going he offered a rate much hirer than we discussed. He went back to management and came back to me with the rate I should have received based on my score and history. A few hours passed before the finance manager was available to complete the transaction. What happened in her office could not be described as anything other than "sales assault". I clearly understand the dealership is incentivized to sell extended warranties, no new concept here, they want to make money, everyone gets that. However I was relentlessly pressured to fold in thousands of additional dollars for extended warranties, tire warranties and service packages for the better part of an hour. I was then told that the rate I was offered was a mistake and it would have to increase and that the lender's website was down and another lender had to be used. Never was it disclosed by DGDG sales or finance that they were executing hard inquires on my credit with all these mistakes. The day after I made the purchase I received notification from the Equifax and Transunion that I had 3 hard inquires in the same day (DGDG) and a drop in credit score. Once the financial transaction was complete I was given the paperwork and keys. The sales rep didn't want to do a walk around and review of the features and candidly I was so burned out by the entire experience I just wanted to go home. I noticed before leaving that the vehicle was missing a towing accessory and the owner's manual. The sales rep said I would have to order those from GM. I drove the vehicle from 89 miles to 132 miles over the last week (43 total miles since I rolled it off the DGDG Capitol Chevy lot) and it broke down. The vehicle would not start and the displays were twitching out. I hit the OnStar button and they could not remote start or diagnose so they called GM Roadside to have the vehicle towed back to the dealership. It took several hours for the tow and the dealership was closed so I left the vehicle on the lot and returned the next day with the keys. The Sales Manager told me that the vehicle seemed to be fine now and attempted to hand me the keys. I asked that it be diagnosed which was done the following day. After the breakdown, towing, several Uber rides at my cost to and from the dealership, spending a holiday weekend trying to get help from DGDG, it turns out there were issues with the vehicle and repairs were required for a half day by the service department. I have no confidence in this particular vehicle. I have no other angle in writing this review other than wanting to have been treated like a valued customer as well as letting others know about my experience so you can hopefully avoid what happened to me when you purchase your next vehicle. Buyer beware if you're considering DGDG Capitol Chevrolet. More
Absolutely horrible and masochistic service. Brought our chevy bolt to get serviced and after approx 6 hours, got our car and it was not serviced at all with check engine light still on. I contacted online about a 2016 1SS Camaro with ultra low miles (2600!) that was for sale. Ricky reached out to me. Ricky was pretty easy to work with, and allowed me to do all the credit work and gain a 'ap miles (2600!) that was for sale. Ricky reached out to me. Ricky was pretty easy to work with, and allowed me to do all the credit work and gain a 'approval' before even coming to the dealership.(later I find out I was never approved and they did a SPOT DELIVERY to me, but lied and told me I was approved and good to go) I wasn't sure I would even qualify so that part was important. After getting the "approval" I went to the dealership almost immediately and met with Ricky. I had a trade with negative equity and they helped me without any problems. We went over the paperwork and then they inspected my trade in. At this point Ricky and I went to test drive the vehicle to make sure I like it before moving forward with the finance portion. When ricky was showing me the car he explained some basic features and gave me a no BS run down of the car. Too bad it was raining so I could not evaluate the car that well. All in all everything seemed pretty good to me so we came to an agreement. I then went to wait for finance department to complete the financing paper work. I waited here for about 1.5hrs as 3 other people went ahead of me and got in and out of the finance office while I waited. After the wait Andrew came out and brought me back to his office to complete the paperwork. Andrew was really cool and a pleasure to work with, he brightened up my experience and even offered to try to get me a lower rate on Monday when the banks open.(He didn't) Once I completed up here I went to meet with Ricky, but he was too busy to go over the new car I just bought from him as he was trying to sell another... I was given copies of my paperwork as requested and keys to my new vehicle and that was it. Upon leaving the dealership I had driven the car for about an hour and when waiting in line at "in n out" the brakes started to act strange and were not functioning correctly, the car stated a warning "service brake assist " I took a photo and sent it to Ricky which he says he forwarded to his manager and "they will take care of it." Over a month later I have not hear back from Ricky about the brake assist. Now over the last couple weeks when driving up hills and mountain roads the vehicle vibrates pretty bad like driving on a rumble strip. I read online the torque converter is probably bad and is a common issue with the transmission on my vehicle. I also get a terrible noise when I turn the heater onto high, it sounds like there is a paper hitting fan blades; funny enough it only does this sometimes and is hit or miss. Then thirdly, the rear diff makes a terrible sound when the car is cold and sometimes will do it even when the car is warm when making turns. After all this I go to use the android auto that was advertised to me by Ricky before my test drive and find out the vehicle hasn't even got the proper update to use android auto and needs to go back to the dealer for this! I'm not sure you can trust their pre owned inspection as this car definitely has issues and didn't even recieve a basic free update. The car has definitely been in an accident as well and you can see 'dirt nibs and runs in the paint' where it was repainted and sand marks from where they tried to sand the paint to cover it up. There was even overspray on the window! All this on a certified pre owned vehicle that was guaranteed accident free "to their knowledge" with no issues. Overall unsatisfied with everything not to mention the hoops I had to to through just to keep the car after leaving the dealership. I wouldn't reccomend my worst enemy to buy a car here. More

We called ahead, let them know we were driving down from Sacramento to check out the car and headed out to San Jose. When we arrived we met with Christopher Gomez and told him what we were there for. Chris took us to their lot to show us the car and take it for a test drive. We came back after our test drive and decided we didn't like the car so Chris offered to show us a few other pre-owned SUV's they had on their lot. At the end of the day we did not purchase from them purely because we couldn't find anything within our price range. We purchased from a different dealer a week later and got the SUV we wanted for a better price and fewer miles with a more complete maintenance history. Chris was cool and so easy to work with the entire time we were at Capitol Chevrolet. He is the complete opposite of a pushy car salesman thats just trying to make a sale. He was nice, very professional and did everything he could to find us a vehicle we would like. If he didnt have the answer to a question we had about one of the pre-owned vehicles he quickly did the proper research to find an answer and let us know his findings. Even though we did not purchase from them, Chris made me feel good about my visit to this dealer and my family and I all agreed that if im looking for a vehicle again I will definitely consider Capitol Chevy just for a chance to work with Chris again. They have some really nice cars on their lot and fairly priced also, just not in our price range. This was definitely one of the best experiences we had while car shopping. More

Arguing semantics of corporate offices, that's a fun way of starting my experience. So we're not going to honor what we talked about on the phone? No? Ok, can I speak to the person I had spoken to? "Well, she's just an adviser also." So, I guess that's a no? Cool. Grab a manager then? Nope? Cool. Take 10 minutes just to bring my car forward. COOOOOOOOOOL. Garbage place, with garbage people. More
