Hello Dan, same response as we have done for your other reviews. Hello Dan, I waited until all the sales managers arrived to ask but no one has any memory of dealing with anything similar to this, and the name you have used on your review is not in our data base. If you have posted this in error we kindly ask you to remove it. If you used a different name please email me that name and your contact information (a vin # for the vehicle would also be helpful) to ghaw@capitaljeep.com and I will do my best to address your concern for you. Second Reply: Hello Dan, I have just opened up your email that I received over the weekend. Give me some time to look into your concern. Geoff Haw Fixed Operations Manager

Hello Greg, have you tried to unplug all your non-Chrysler electrical equipment like we suggested the last time you brought your vehicle into us? We tested the vehicle without anything connected, and there is no excessive draw. The other dealership you talk about has obviously determined the same thing, because if there was a defect, they would have fixed it under warranty just like we would. Please try looking into the equipment you have running off your vehicle or bring it in with the equipment and pay for us to isolate the problem, so you know what is causing the draw. If you disagree with this for some reason or wish to discuss this in further detail, please reach out to our service manager Clint Thompson at 780-434-5624. Geoff Haw Fixed Operations Manager

This flippant response is exactly what I am talking about. As stated in my warning: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CAPITAL CHRYSLER. I feel obligated to go to a form like this to warn others before doing business with this dealership. There has been no specialist look at the car. There are several forms on this make and model with the same issues. The dealership is trying to blame me for their lack of desire and or skill to repair the vehicle that is under warranty. I have no intent on paying for warranty work that this dealership does not want to do. We do not run any external equipment on this vehicle. We do use the built in charger for our phones. If this is the problem then it should be repaired under warranty. I have had many vehicles in my life and never had one that doesn't start randomly. I paid this dealership to install a battery maintainer and paid for the battery maintainer. They couldn't even complete this basic task. They took my extension cord for the block heater and used it under the hood to install the battery maintainer. For some context: I called ahead, set up an appointment a month in advance and they didn't do anything that we had agreed on. Just took my money and didn't complete any of the work successfully. How ridiculous is this level of workmanship. I truly hope that I save at least 1 person from buying a car from this dealership and manufacturer. This attitude towards their customers should tell everyone what you will be dealing with when you go to this dealership. I would like to say that I have a 10 year old Ford truck that still starts every time with the original battery. It regularly goes to -40 deg where I live. My previous vehicle was a GMC and it started every time for 11 years. I do all regular maintenance and repairs to all my vehicles. I typically buy new and take good care of my vehicles. I have never gone through something like this. I truly hope that this dealership looks into the mirror when trying to blame someone. We drive this car as intended. We don't take it off road (it is marketed as an off road vehicle) and it blew a shock with less than 20000 km on it. This was fixed under warranty at a different dealership. The car's problems are extensive but the disdain for their customers is worse. If you are reading this I apologize for the long winded response but I feel that the response I received required a follow up. This attempt to blame the customer for an obvious defect is truly sad. STAY AWAY FROM CAPITAL CHRYSLER JEEP Clint Thompson please do not respond again unless you are interested in providing a solution not blaming me or my wife for your shop's incompetence. I understand that you want more money and I would be happy to pay for good work, not something that is obvious warranty work as I did for the battery maintainer that your shop could not complete properly. I should not have had to pay for this either if your shop was capable of repairing the obvious manufacturer defect. I hope that you never run into any business run like the one you run.

Hello Carla, I understand that you came in today and spoke with both Paul and our service manager, Clint Thompson. I am sorry that you were inconvenienced by having to come back a second time, but I am told that they managed to track down your electrical issue and fixed it. I was also told that they diagnosed your cruise control problem and provided you that information at no cost. Not all concerns are easily solved but I hope Paul and Clint's efforts today have shown you that we do care about our customers and that we stand behind our work. Hello Sebastien, I am not sure where the miscommunication has come from, but I just checked with our finance department and Alex added a 3year/60,000 km Gold and Powertrain warranty to your vehicle in mid-May. I am told the plan is more than you were expecting so I hope this is satisfactory for you. If not, please reach out to Bara again with any concerns that we haven't addressed. Enjoy your weekend. Hello Geoff, This is the warranty that is incorrect and is less than what I expected/paid for. I added you and other managers to my email with Bara last night since Bara has done nothing but ignore my emails. The warranty code that is supposed to be applied and that I have paid $4,560 for is code 419 which has a 7 years and 115 thousand km warranty. Please correct. If you cannot apply what I have paid for, please refund me $4,560.00.

Bara has contacted me yesterday and I called him today. He told me that the General Manager has confirmed that “the best warranty as already been applied” I told him I don’t care what the manager thinks is the best warranty and I want the warranty that Is on my warranty paperwork that I was paid for! If you cannot apply what I have paid for, please refund me $4,560.00. This is also filed with Better Business Bureau and posted on several platforms to show that Capital Jeep is frauding its customers by not applying products they are paying for!

Capital Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram responded

Hello Giovanni, after reading your review I have taken the time to speak with both technicians that looked at your 2014 Grand Cherokee, as well as your advisor and our service manager to gather as much information as I could. All though I do not agree with a couple of your points, I do agree that we have made errors in this case and not lived up to yours or our expectations. I also want to point out that this is not common for us and that you have brought your vehicle to us 12 other times for unrelated concerns and maintenance prior to this, so we must have provided good service for you to continue to return. On February 20th you brought your Jeep in for us to look at a potential problem with your transmission shifting. The technician that looked at your vehicle that day misdiagnosed your problem, and this is the reason for your confusion and inconvenience since. Mistakes happen, and all we can do after that initial error is to properly diagnose your concern for you. This is what our service manager Clint Thompson did for you when he lifted your vehicle on a hoist, brought you out there with our shop foreman and another technician, and showed you what they were seeing. Your vehicle was driven twice since the original repair order and the flare that was noted is normal for your 8 speed transmission when cold. You misunderstood Clint with regards to warming up the vehicle. This has nothing to do with temperature. There is a pump inside the transmission that requires approximately a half a minute to build up the fluid pressure that is needed for proper shifting. The sweating power steering lines have nothing to do with your shifting concern and aren't considered a warrantable concern by Chrysler who sets the warranty parameters, but they came to our attention due to the misdiagnosis of the transmission lines on the first inspection. I hope this explanation has helped in some way but if you still disagree and wish to discuss it further, please reach out to Clint Thompson at 780-434-5624 and he will do his best to address your concerns. I appreciate your reply, Geoff in hopes of getting to the bottom of this. Just few things about your reply: 1. As for the 12 times visits, most of those visits were from the free oil changes that I received because I bought the vehicle at Capital Jeep. This was back in 2015/16. I may have come once or twice since then. Feel free to share with the public the days when I came and what I came for. 2. Warming up has everything to do with temperature that is the definition of warming up (and cooling down). There is nothing in my owners manual that states I have to warm up the vehicle for the pump to build-up pressure. I most certainly didn't have to do this when the transmission was new. Also, "This has nothing to do with temperature. There is a pump inside the transmission that requires approximately a half a minute to build up the fluid pressure that is needed for proper shifting." Are you familiar with the correlation between temperature and viscosity and pressure? And if you are not, that is OK because this is why you have factory trained technicians. Your factory trained technician confirmed the transmission issue and provided a solution to repair it (and it was not to "warm" up the vehicle). Now, why you are ignoring the diagnosis from your factory trained technician are you saying that he also made a mistake? So 2 technicians made mistakes? Maybe its a good thing you cannot/are not fixing my vehicle!
