RAM warranty requires proof of maintenance performed (i.e. oil changes, service, etc.) in order to approve a claim. This is always the gamble of buying something second hand privately or from somewhere else that you don't know the history of the vehicle. As you bought this vehicle at auction, it was not certified or inspected. Had you purchased from Strathmore Dodge, your vehicle would have come with a Mechanical Fitness Assessment completed. To protect our staff and ensure their safety, we do not unload or remove vehicles from a trailer to prevent damage or potential injury. This is also the case with vehicles coming in on a tow truck or trailer. As your winch cable snapped while you were unloading, this is a perfect example of why we don't touch equipment we don't maintain. Unfortunately where you chose to unload your truck was a confined space, and your vehicle did damage to a trailer parked immediately behind where you chose to unload, despite there being plenty of room elsewhere to do so safely. We're sorry to hear about your hand and wish you a speedy recovery.

In the event you have a time constraint or intend to wait for your vehicle, we will always try to accommodate every guest's expectations as much as possible. Our Service Manager Dean has offered a complimentary oil change to apologize for any inconvenience that may have been incurred by the delay.
