I walked in with my sister to be greeted with friendly smiles all around and the young salesman Ocean stepped forward and said, "I am here for you." We were instantly joking, having fun and show smiles all around and the young salesman Ocean stepped forward and said, "I am here for you." We were instantly joking, having fun and shown a car I was quite interested in. He quickly got the keys to two different models and we narrowed down to the one I ended up buying. He sat in the back telling us things about the car while I took it for a lengthy test drive, loving it more every moment. I have always bought second hand cars and this is my first every brand new car. My second to have been bought at a dealership. While it transpired with a bit of anxiety, both Ocean and Aaron (manager or somebody higher up, not sure of his title) were negotiating with me, meeting me more than halfway on some of my requests and really stepped up the customer service. Scott Wilson the finance officer and I laughed through the paperwork. Even as the price rose higher and higher as I said yes to every protection package offered. While I know that this puts extra dollars into the dealership's coffers, I also have researched most of the packages before and believe in their worth in preserving the value of my car. I also want to add that I was determined to buy a Honda Fit. That was the only other dealership experience I had and it was pleasurable in 1989 when I bought one that had been traded in with quite low mileage. I had been to Honda about 6 times previous to this first visit to Hyundai on July the 6th. I felt that Honda no longer strived to meet the customer half-way, not even part way. So now that I have brought home my Hyundai Elantra Gls Touring Sport Package, I am more than willing to forget some of the features of the Honda Fit that I liked. The Elantra hatchback had enough of the features I wasn't willing to live without in my automobile investment. Customer service and the personalities of Ocean, Aaron and Scott are what sold me the car. Nothing less. To elaborate on that further, what I mean by personalities is that I always felt I was dealing with real people who were not required to speak out of a script or black and white company line that allows for no deviation or individuality. I find and experience when I am dealing with individuals, I feel more respected as an individual and not just another customer. It also helped that my brother a power engineer, but forever a car guy, buying car magazines, reading them and had researched Hyundai and the changes you have made over the years in your cars and in your service was impressed with Hyundai and my car choice. A younger sister will always feel better about her choices when a wise older brother concurs with them. Thanks for the great experience. Down below you ask how I heard about you and there wasn't any "flyer" option. We received a flyer in the mail that prompted my sister and me to come in to your dealership the day I was going to go to all places who had hatchbacks. We stopped at Hyundai after two other places and never moved on. More

This caucasian lady really gave us a huge surprise with her great mandarin. after got the characters of the new vehicle that we want, she recommend us two. Christa not only introduced their car, but also compared them with similar vehicle from other manufacture. Though it was rain outside, we still have a huge pleasure of test drive with her accompany. After that visit, Christa did politely follow up with us without bothering us like some other dealer did. It was a great experience at west edmonton hyundai with Christa. Even though we purchased our vehicle from other manufacture than hyundai, We really appreciate Christa's patience, profession and expertise. More
We had excellent customer service from the start to end of our purchase. Richard was extremely helpful and knowledgable about the features of the vehicle we were looking into buying (Hyundai Santa Fe). He was patient while we made our decision without pushing or rushing us into a sale. Richard and Aaron (sales manager) presented us with a fair price and great financing options. We were given time to make our decision without pressure. Once we met with Scott (business manager) we were quickly approved for financing and presented with our options for extra insurance and warranties. The options were presented in detail without pressure to purchase. Overall we had excellent customer service from all steps in the purchase. Richard even took care of our son (11 months old) so we could discuss all of our options without having a baby distract us. We would highly recommend West Edmonton Hyundai. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and easy going. More

My husband and I started our search for a vehicle online and after months of searching we found a used minivan on the West Edmonton Hyundai website. We shopped around a few other dealerships and found the one at Hyundai the better deal. Purchasing the minivan was a pleasant enough experience but after we signed the papers and gave them our thousand dollar deposit, we had a much different experience. First of all I must add that we do not live in Edmonton, we live an hour and a half away, a total of three hours driving. The next day my husband drove back to Edmonton to pick up the vehicle (trip number one). He found noticable scratches on the back door of the minivan which were not there when had viewed the vehicle, and the side mirror was dangling. My husband was assured the van would be repaired so he went home. The next day (trip number 2) my husband and I went back to the dealership, we had phoned ahead and the used care manager assured us that the minivan was repaired and that he had seen it himself and it looked great. When we arrived, the mirror was replaced but the scratches were not fixed. When confronted about it, the salesman blamed the used car manager, the used car manager blamed the salesman about not being honest about the scratches being fixed. No one took accountability and just passed blame. We returned two weeks later (trip number 3) to repair the scratches, we told the dealership to call us as soon as the minivan was repaired as we did not live in the city and didn't have much to do in the city. We spent all day in the city and did not hear from the dealership so I called them late in the afternoon, they told me the minivan had been ready for quite some time. The scratches still were not fixed. Yet another two weeks later (trip number 4) and finally the scratches were repaired. Driving home, my husband discovered the air conditioning didn't work. My husband called the dealership to let them know of the A/C issue and they claimed ignorance and offered no helpful suggestions as to how to resolve the issue. Frustrated we went to our local dealership to get a quote on the repairs and they quoted nearly $2000 worth of work. I called Hyundai to let them know of the quote and asked if I could have the repairs done locally as I had already made numerous trips to Hyundai for the previous issue and had no interest in the hassle and inconvenience of driving three hours to have it repaired at the Hyundai dealership. I called Hyundai several times each day trying to get this issue resolved. After a week and a half the used car manager eventually returned my phone call only to tell me that they would not accommodate my request and that I had to once again make a trip down to the city. I certainly understand West Edmonton Hyundai's decision. Having the competition repair our vehicle was not a cost West Edmonton Hyundai was willing to incur, but I would like them to consider the costs my husband and I incurred such as the cost of fuel, mileage on our vehicle, babysitting expenses and the considerable time spent driving back and forth into the city. As intangible as it is, I believe our time was worth something. On another note, when we had agreed to purchase the minivan, we put a thousand dollar deposit to hold the vehicle and were assured it would be returned to us when the financing was in place. Two weeks later the deposit still was not returned to us even after I had called Hyundai several times regarding this matter. The deposit was eventually returned to us but Hyundai still owed us money on another matter which was returned to us over a month after our initial purchase. We had the option of buying a minivan privately to save money but chose to go with a reputable dealership to avoid any surprises. Although I am grateful that West Edmonton Hyundai has agreed to repair my vehicle, I still regret my choice to deal with West Edmonton Hyundai. I felt my concerns were not being addressed and we were given the run around. I will certainly consider buying locally next time we are in the market for another vehicle. There was, however, a few positive notes. Each time we did return to Hyundai, they were kind enough to provide us with a vehicle each time we had to leave our vehicle for repairs and the receptionist Tiffany was very helpful, accommodating and sympathetic. I came to this dealership after doing some online browsing through the used car sites. From there, I came into contact with Mr Lam who assisted me throughout the whole process of buying my new car. I did not have a car and Mr Lam picked me up and dropped me off home every single time I stop by the dealership. He also provided a very nice route for the test drive, allowing me to see all the prominent features in the car. I bought my car on Monday and it was available for pick up on Wednesday. The car I got was a 2009 Hyundai Genesis 4.6L Tech Pack, but after they were done with the prep work on it, it looked as good as new and I couldn't tell that it was a used car. I would definitely come back to Richard again after I'm done with this car in a few years time. More

Took our 2006 in for service and was looking around the showroom as we did want to buy a 2011 but thought to wait for awhile. Meet the young sales lady and both myself and my wife really enjoyed her. She was smart looking, dressed very nice one of the most pleasant sales people we had ever meet. She was not pushy or overbearing and we just decided to go ahead at this time instead of waiting. This is the 4th vehicle we have bought from this dealership and have had nothing but great service. The service department is top notch. More

I hate nothing more than the sit and wait game at many dealerships. At best it is a waste of time and worst, it is condescending. After a brutal experience at Southtown Hyundai (only went there because it is very close to where I live)I decided to try West Edmonton Hyundai on-line. I had had a really great experience a couple years previous, but again proximity. I decided to first try the internet as I've become fed up with this "you need to wait and meet my manager" crap that over the years seems to work for some places. On-line I hitched up with Levi Ozbey who, within 2 days of painless negotiation on-line, we hammered out what I thought was the deal I needed to make this work. I really thought Levi went to bat here. He always responded back to my questions/offers quickly and with humor and when the deal was done, he followed through on everything. If internet dealing is your thing, consider this salesman as he was vpersonable but cut to the chase. At the tail end of things Vance Yue, the finance fellow had me in and out of there in 15 minutes - no trying to stuff extras down your throat, just a good guy who didn't want to waste anyones time and really had things in order. I'm done shopping elsewhere. Most of my car deals have always come down to getting the best deal and having the best person(s) to deal with. These two guys made it a really positive experience and there is a reason why this dealership has the best ratings. More
