I have a brand new Ram and the engine light keeps coming on every half an hour. I took it to Downview where I bought it. They didn’t find anything wrong and send me away. I’ll start out by saying when buying a new vehicle I already have my guard up as I don’t trust a car salesmen as far as I could throw one. I’ve bought many new cars and trucks in my 35 years of driving already have my guard up as I don’t trust a car salesmen as far as I could throw one. I’ve bought many new cars and trucks in my 35 years of driving and to honest I’ve never had a dealer or sales person I’d go back to until now! I went to 4 dealers in and around Durham looking to trade in my 2017 Ram Sport for a new 2022 Sport. They have a $3000 loyalty discount on new trucks for current owners and all three other dealers were telling me I don’t qualify because my truck was paid off in full! How does that make any sense? Village right away said you do qualify for the discount and was also offering $4500 off the sticker price of the new truck. Now time to get a fair price on my trade in. We were a thousand dollars apart and they gave me the extra thousand and took it out of the profit they made off the sale of the new truck. We were dealing with Darren and Derek, both were great to deal with and delivered on everything they promised. Said the new truck would be ready on Sat and it was. When we went in to sign the paperwork no one tried to upsale me anything nothing I hate more is when dealers try to sneak in hidden fees like tire warranty and fob protection and extended warranty without asking their customers. Village was up front about everything and no hidden fees. So far I’m thinking I like this dealership and these two guys. We go out inspect the new truck it’s beautiful and everything was clean and shiny and ready for my plates and the ride home. While putting on the back plate I noticed there was no hitch receiver on the truck. The listing on the dealers website stated hitch reciever and trailer sway control. Darren and I went in and talk to Derek and he checked the dealers site where it clearly stated hitch reciever. They apologized and offered to install it right away on the spot! Wow that’s customer service. I had another appointment and couldn’t wait around. They booked me in two days later and installed the hitch. It took longer then they original thought and offered me a ride home so I didn’t have to sit at the dealership for three hours. The shuttle driver sorry I forgot your name was friendly, really nice guy and was a joy to drive with. Two hours later they called and said my truck would be ready in 30 min and asked if I’d like them to come get me now so by the time I get there my truck will be ready. When I got to the dealer my truck was sitting in the service bay all done and ready to go. If you’re like me and are sick and tired of dealers with shady sales people who act like they’re doing you a favourite and giving you discounts when all they’re really doing is just moving the numbers around then check this dealer out. They listen, do their best to give you want you ask for and want you to leave with a smile on your face which my wife and I did. I’ll definitely be back in 4 or 5 years when it’s time to trade this one in. I’m hoping Darren and Derek are still there! Thanks for the great service. To all the other dealers and sales people out there reading this you should spend some time at this dealership and see how customers should be treated! More
