Another Amazing Car Buying Experience! Thank you Shaganappi! I have another new car from you! My previous car was a 2011 Cruze which was unfortunately written off due to a car accident. Thank you Shaganappi! I have another new car from you! My previous car was a 2011 Cruze which was unfortunately written off due to a car accident. Although my car didn't survive, my dog and I did thanks to the amazing air bags in the Cruze. Very impressive! So back I went to Shaganappi (where not only did I get my last car but several others as well) to find my favourite salesman, Lance Barnes! I purchased my first Cruze from Lance and he worked very hard getting me the car that I wanted - it even had to come from out of province! Knowing how kind, friendly and helpful he was the last time, I was thankful Lance was there to help me out again! Picky as I am, I have the perfect car once more! I also must acknowledge the incredible effort put in by Deb Kirkland to help with my financing when my insurance company and bank goofed things up! To everyone that helped out, Lance, Deb, Jason and Tony, a BIG thank you. I'm so happy to be a part of the Shaganappi family! More
Customer is never right Purchase my truck new there in 2013 and it has had problems since day one. The day after I brought it home the relationship ended, they had my money a Purchase my truck new there in 2013 and it has had problems since day one. The day after I brought it home the relationship ended, they had my money and did not want to hear from me again. For some reason I kept going back for my regular service (they replace the factory service manual with their own with intervals 2.4 times more frequent than the factory recommends). On my last visit I was less than satisfied and I later received a phone call stating that if I filled out the customer satisfaction survey as 100% satisfied they would give me a free oil change. My response was that you earn customer satisfaction not buy it. On my last visit for an oil change to their 'quick lube no appointment necessary' I dropped my truck off at 8:30 am and was told there were three vehicle ahead of mine so it would be a couple of hours, okay fine, I’ll have it back around noon as I rely on my vehicle for my job. Usually they call when it’s done but I waited to the end of the day, no call, so I went to pick it up figuring they must be busy. At the pick up desk I asked if it was done and oddly enough they couldn't find the paperwork. Then the guy finally found something and informed me they hadn't even started it yet so I asked him if they could get on it while I wait. A minute after that, while standing in the service department, I received a call telling me it was done, but in fact it hadn't even gone in yet. I sat in the waiting area until around 5:40 pm when I finally asked if it was done. Even the other customers at the desk at the time were shocked it took a 'quick lube' all day to do a simple oil change. They said they just finished it and would bring it around. When it came time to pay I informed them nicely (other customers witnessed this) I was not going to pay for the service give the aforementioned. The now girl behind the desk (the guy left without even informing me of the status before leaving) went to check with her manager who approached me and told me she can't have customer cursing and swearing and stomping their feet in their building (I must be the only grown man that looks like a child any throw imaginary temper tantrums). I again politely informed her that there was no cursing or swearing or stomping of feet (remember other customers witnessed all of this) and that it would be in their best interest to swallow this cost. I told her I would pay the invoice if she covered my lost time at work which is charged out at $155/hr to which she replied so is theirs (so are you therefore implying that you are going to charge me $155/hr for the eight hours you did nothing to my truck? Wow!) She finally relented and asked if I would like my multi-point inspection sheet as she would mail the invoice to me so I don't have to wait anymore (good deal I'm out of here). I get home and check my inspection form and it is completely blank, nice. I had to check over the truck to see if they actually did the work and to my surprise I found the factory air filter in the trucks from over a year ago when I’ve asked them to change it on at least two occasions (I betting I was charged for it though, I will be checking my records). There is no such thing as customer satisfaction at this dealership. In fact, because of them I have decided never to purchase any GM product in the future (never should have to start with as they are really poorly engineered). I am not brand loyal so it makes no matter to me. I will not return for service and I recommend you stay as far away from this place as possible. Do not buy anything or have anything serviced at this dealer if you can at all avoid it. More
Beware! Will not refund your deposit! First, we phoned about a vehicle. No one got back to us for over an hour. In the meantime, we found a better deal at the CMP dealership. We were going to put a deposit on an '08 Acadia there instead. While waiting for CMP financing to call, a Mark from Shagannapi phoned. We assumed he was from CMP financing as he didn't identify where he was calling from. He took our deposit and when we realized the mistake he and his two managers gave us the run around. That was September 24th. It is now October 15! Many, many phone calls later and we are still trying to get our deposit back! We are from out of province, so going there and banging on the door isn't so option so we phoned VISA to see if they could intervene.... apparently not. My advice, BE WARE OF GIVING SHAGANNAPI ANY SORT OF DEPOSIT - THEY WONT GIVE IT BACK!!! More
