As a person with mental health needs, I can say the people at Honda Pre-owned were amazing. Within 30 minutes of the test drive, we agreed on the trade-in value of my old CRV and the final price of the new 2024 CRV EX-L Hybrid. James arranged the delivery of the new CRV within 5 days of signing the initial purchase agreement. Everything went smoothly. My wife and I like our new 2024 CRV. Everybody at Ottawa Honda, from Reception to Finance, was very friendly and accommodating. I found James very knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and helpful. I would definitely recommend Ottawa Honda and James Savoie to my friends and family for their future consideration. More

Imagine picking up your daughter from school, and as she opens the door to the car it stalls. In fact, the car will always stall whenever the door is opened. This is the type of (new) car Ottawa Honda sold me - and the salesperson knew it. To explain this, we need to go back four years when I purchased it new. Some people like to write reviews right after they make their purchase, I prefer waiting to see how things work out, albeit a long wait in this case. I went to Ottawa Honda (on Richmond Road) and was attracted to a new 2018 Accord in the show room. The year was 2019, and this car was probably their last new 2018 available. The car had a manual transmission which was not an issue for me. At the time, I made it clear to the salesperson that the car I would buy needed to have an auto starter. The salesperson told me that Honda does not make auto starters for manual cars but a third party does and that he could arrange to have one installed. I accepted the offer and purchased the car. Ottawa Honda took care of things - I.e., bring it to the place to have the auto starter installed. They included the cost of the auto starter in my car invoice. Not long after, when I noticed the car stalling, I brought the car in with that concerned. If I recall correctly, I brought it in more than once. Eventually, they explained to me that there was nothing they could do to fix this issue other than remove the auto-starter. I was not pleased with this as the auto starter was “a must” condition under which I would buy the car. Further to this, I had paid for this auto starter. I recall meeting with one of their main managers who said to me “we will make this right”. Well, nothing was ever offered to make it right. Short of them taking the car back, I didn’t see how this issue could be resolved. Needless to say that had the salesperson divulged to me that the car would stall every single time any door was opened, I would not have purchased this car. More

After visiting 4 dealerships with the samle MO, finally Orlando treated me like a human and responded to my questions and met me on the level. Tactic? My simple request before scheduling "I want to spend "this much". I want "this" type of car which you have "this many" on your lot. I'm hoping to get "this" much for my car. If you think you might be able to meet me within that range I'd like to make an appointment to have my car looked at so we can chat." Moral of the story. Don't bother attempting to be straight forward, they will ignore you and do their song and dance either way. Orlando did not therefore sold me a car. He gave me time to sit and chew on the details before making my decision, no pressure. Sharon in the finance department recommended coverages as her role demands but didn't pressure either. All this is appreciated as both members of this dealership recognized that the customer knew what they wanted and what they could afford. Happy customer. Go see Orlando. Don't let the LRT construction confuse you. You can still get into the lot. More

I have had two bad experiences at this dealership, one from the new vehicle department and one from the pre-owned. On the new side they installed thousands of dollars of over-priced accessories on the veh from the new vehicle department and one from the pre-owned. On the new side they installed thousands of dollars of over-priced accessories on the vehicle and did not include the price for them in the for sale ad nor on the car card at the dealership. It was only when we came down to the total cost did they ad $3,000 for the accessories. Ottawa Honda seems to install accessories regularly and charge accordingly rather than asking the customer if they wish to purchase any accessories. I have been in touch with OMVIC regarding the ad with the incorrect total price on the vehicle as the final price listed should be ALL charges except for tax and licensing and this was not the case here. If anyone else has had this issue I recommend you contact OMVIC as well. On March 29, 2023, on the pre-owned side, like similar other comments on Google, they advised new tires would be put on the vehicle and instead of a name brand they installed the cheapest chinese made tires so they could maximize their profit. No word of any warranty, tread mileage limit or anything else. The salesman would not budge on their price as they said they had to put $3,000 into the vehicle. The 4 tires cost approx. $600 incl. tax plus they changed a hydraulic hinge on the tailgate door and the front struts which necessitated an alignment. Doesn't sound like $3,000 worth of work to me. The rear brake rotors are also heavily rusted but apparently they passed the Ottawa Honda safety. When discussed with the manager he said the car was used, this is what you get. After paying $22,000 for the vehicle I expect better service and parts than we received. If you are buying a vehicle from Ottawa Honda I would review the prices in details and ask what kind of parts they are going to install prior to finalizing any deal. I will never deal with them again as there are plenty of Honda dealers with better service in Ottawa. UPDATES March 30 I took the car to an independent repair garage and they found major deficiencies. The vehicle should never have passed a safety. Issues include all of the brand new tires losing air, needs a drive shaft, needs rear rotors, driver side stabilizer link has tape over the grease fitting holes, needs upper strut mounts, needs wiper blades and a few other issues. Some of these items are major issues that deal with braking, suspension, etc. Obviously Ottawa Honda did not look closely at the vehicle and they were more than willing to sell an unsafe vehicle with a safety certificate. They also installed the tires on the rims incorrectly and the independent repair garage fixed them for free as it was very unsafe, the tires could have come off the rims while driving. March 31 Ottawa Honda went over the vehicle again and stated that nothing was wrong. Despite stating they would “get it right” and being provided with a list of the deficiencies from the other repair garage they are stating nothing is wrong with the vehicle. However, despite stating that nothing was wrong, they agreed to replace the windshield wipers and they turned the rear rotors to remove the large amounts of rust from them rather than replacing them. They also re-balanced and re-installed the “Made in China” tires and fixed the driver’s side stabilizer grease fitting holes issue. They also advised the drive shaft is fine and does not require replacement. All of these issues should have been noted and fixed when the initial safety was completed. The mechanic at the other repair garage cannot believe Ottawa Honda is acting in such an untrustworthy manner and released a vehicle that was unsafe for the road. Oddly enough the mechanic who completed the safety is also no longer in Ottawa Honda’s employ as he has “moved on to another job closer to home”. I contacted Honda Canada who advised there is nothing they can do as each dealership is independently owned and operated. See Google Review for rest of review. More

My experience with Ottawa Honda is not good & has NOT gotten any better. I almost purchased a car the 1st visit, but it fell through. Frank, the sales manager, told me that if I came back, they'd honor all the things we agreed on (tires included with my deal, a full tank of gas ect.) I came back MULTIPLE times after this because they didn't have the car I wanted, & each time was told "we'll take you're info & call you" *Spoiler: they didn't ever* I finally saw the car I wanted on the lot as I drove by & came in told them exactly what I wanted, had everything ready to buy. I ended up having to fight them to take my sale *should have run here*. I found the car I wanted but suddenly all the promises they made me (tires, gas ect) they couldn't honor & I could "take it or leave it". Finance was amazing, we agreed on everything, signed on the lines & set a pickup date. I thought all was good. Nope. Pickup day comes & 53 minutes before I'm supposed to get my car, I get a text *not even a call* saying, no car for you today. So I take myself down to the lot to pay the rest of my deposit & figure out WTH is going on. I'm met with excuse after excuse. I left mad & frustrated but with the promise that the car will be done the next day. I come back next day & NOTHING is done on the car. The entertainment screen was still broken, none of the scuffs we had originally talked about had been removed, detailing was not done & additionally someone had HIT the car off something & tried to pass it off as "no, that mark was always there". I would no longer deal with the sales person & demanded the manager. Frank was out, so the next in command dealt with me & agreed that it was RIDICULOUS that I was supposed to accept the car in this shape. I was promised all would be done ASAP. Eventually, most things got fixed but was told that the entertainment screen they couldn't get working, they'd have to order another & that it was on backorder. Shouldn't be long at all... My car was finally returned to me on Dec 16th, a month after I purchased it, still not repaired & waiting on parts with the promise they'd be in "soon" and that service would "be in touch". My car was only made whole on March 27th, four MONTHS after purchase & only after I had multiple calls & emails to find out what was going on. Not one single call or email was made to me over the entire period to update me or try to figure this out. They kept promising to "make it right" & couldn't even follow through on the one promise of a tank of gas to "compensate you for your frustration" I had the car back for exactly 3 months, still not fully functional, but still making payments for a car that had yet to be made whole with NO follow up made with me or calls returned. I'm disgusted by the treatment I've gotten (Or I guess lack thereof) & you can be confident that I'll not be recommending Honda to ANYONE at all since you can't follow through on any promises made. The ONLY good person I dealt with was Sharon, she was amazing & so kind. More

I highly recommend James Savoie as a sales person if you are purchasing/leasing a new Honda vehicle. I have recommended James to friends who were also pleased with their Honda purchase from James Savoie. I have driven Honda vehicles since 1999. Everyone at the dealership is truly professional, courteous and helpful. I respect and appreciate their service. Joseph Daccache was professional in his duties as well. The Honda dealership on Richmond Road is terrible. Awful service. The man at the counter was belligerent with me. He even argued with me as I was leaving. I brought my car in a few weeks ago and they said it was fine after checking "everything" for $180. Then the same problem occurred so I brought it back and I wanted them to look at it for free. I had already spent $360 there for them to diagnose this problem and I didn't want to spend another $180. Then man at the counter who was not a mechanic (he had grey hair) started arguing with me immediately. When a customer has a problem, you are supposed to try and solve their problem- not argue with them. I had to tell him to open the file, he just started arguing without knowing anything about the situation. To be fair, the woman I spoke to a few weeks before was actually nice and considerate. But unfortunately she was away today so I had to contend with this ogre. I left frustrated because I wasn't about to be gouged $180 again for apparent" experts" that clearly don't know what they are doing. They just want to sell cars and brand new parts and gouge customers. So I went to Mr Lube in Nepean and the friendly man was sympathetic and checked my oil, tires and diagnosed the sensor problem using a code reading machine for free! he restarted the dash light and got rid of the warning lights. I now know the problem with my car and it didn't even take 10 minutes! He agreed he doesn't like the Honda dealership. They are eager to get your money but not to solve your problem. More
