Service I used to quite happy with the sales and service even after it had transitioned from Crowfoot Ford to Northstar. The service has taken a huge dive since then and the service manager tends to blame customers for issues that are definitely related to his department. After buying several vehicles here I am moving to another Ford dealer and advise others do the same. Maybe if they get rid of the service manager I might return my business. More

Over estimation of repair work I had my Ford escape diagnosed for transmission issues at this dealer. The customer service woman who phone me and my wife was named Fiona and was one of the rudest off-handed people we had ever dealt with. We verified the $ amount individually as we thought this was too high. Fiona confirmed the $ amount. I then phoned around two transmission shops and one other Ford dealer who quoted me between $2300 and $2400 less than Northstar ford. So we had the vehicle towed at our expense to another dealer. Fiona then phoned the following day and spoke to my wife. Fiona asked my wife is we were going to buy a second hand or new vehicle. She said neither and said that we had the vehicle towed to another dealer for the repair work, Fiona then shouted 'you have taken the vehicle, but you have not paid for it". My wife told her to check her records and we had paid for it and that we were getting the work done at another dealership. My wife then put the phone down. Northstar Ford used to be Crowfoot ford where the staff were always friendly and helpful. This lot are rude and are nothing more than criminals. I have sent this same letter to Ford directly and the CAA as they are listed as a CAA service centre. More

Don't schedule appointment, if you don't have the part!!!! The service department scheduled an appointment so that I could get the left rear axle seal fixed. It took them almost 3 hours after I dropped my Escape off before they called to tell me they weren't prepared and that the part was back ordered and would take up to 4 weeks to arrive. What a waste of my time! Poor service for sure! More

Extremely poor service I booked an appointment to have the brake pads replaced on my F150 and a regular service. When I picked it up, they hadn't done the brakes, they said I booked an appointment to have the brake pads replaced on my F150 and a regular service. When I picked it up, they hadn't done the brakes, they said they were too busy and booked me for the next week. They also charged me $70 to inspect the brakes, I never asked them to inspect them, just replace them. They told me they needed replaced on the previous visit. So I take it back again today, I had a 7:30 "appointment". I made sure I was first in line when their doors opened at 7:00. I called at 3:00 to see if it was finished, they hadn't even started on it. They were too busy again, too bad. More

Absolutely AWFUL service department My 7 year old E250 van broke down and Northstar was the closest dealership. I figured that taking a vehicle to the dealership would get me the best s My 7 year old E250 van broke down and Northstar was the closest dealership. I figured that taking a vehicle to the dealership would get me the best service. WRONG! I was quoted $750 for a repair to the head. The technician botched the job and made things worse so the service advisor tells me that now the entire engine has to be removed and the head sent in to a machine shop and did I want to go ahead? I suggested that maybe they should give me a price first before I make that kind of a decision. She seemed surprised by that but agreed to call me back later. When she called back with the $6000 quote in addition to the $750 I owed for the botched repair, I said no thanks. I'd have to be crazy to spend that kind of money on a van of that age. She said that it's very expensive to remove and re-install an engine. I questioned whether the engine really had to be removed or not but she insisted that it did. I had no choice but to pay the $750 or they wouldn't release the van. I had it towed to another shop and they were able to remove the head, have the machine shop fix it and re-install it for $2500 and they DIDN'T have to remove the engine. Whatever you do, DON'T use this dealership, they can't be trusted. More

Service has no clue AND bad attitude My Ford F250 Diesel 2008 steering wheel started to rock left and right very violently. Could barely get it to the dealership for repair The charged my 1800 for front end work. Drove a block and the exact same issue occured They did not test drive before or after the repair, or otherwise they would have noticed it was the wrong repair, and ineffective next round they swapped out the steering box, gave me a break on 2 hours of labour (big wow) but still charged full price on parts had to take it back in again becuase the steering wheel whas hugely off centre. Did they take it for a test after the last repair ?? So I hardly drove it, in 2.5 months cause I am scared to get behind the wheel. Start up the truck after this timeframe and get a Yellow light on Engine and airbag at SAME time. Drove it and guess what, after a left turn, the steering wheel violently rocks left and right, and then stops, but steering wheel is off center I take it in, they charge me 300 for diagnosis and wont reset the fault codes for airbag or engine. I begged them to do this and see if the lights come back on, however they refused. They did not reajust the steering back to center. OH, and then said there is NOTHING wrong with my steering. Guess I just imagined it... What a horrid experince. I called my local repair place CERTEC and they will reset the codes for free (will take 10 min) and investiage my steering issue for free, and charge me if repairs are needed. my advise is DO NOT EVER USE THIS SHOP. They are not courtous and techs need better training. More
