Terrible service, no customer service skills. Took a vehicle in for some recalls and to have my keys reprogrammed. Dealership texts me saying the brand new battery I put in it an hour before it wa Took a vehicle in for some recalls and to have my keys reprogrammed. Dealership texts me saying the brand new battery I put in it an hour before it was towed to their dealership is dead. After texting back and forth for a few hours I eventually learn it is not dead. What? Make up your mind? They do the recalls but the vehicle still isn't starting. "Did you reprogram the key?" I ask. They reply with something about how my remote starter is broken and it's $300 to remove it. "That doesn't answer my question." Run around and then back to the $300 again. "Did you reprogram the key?" They reply with something vague about data communication. Then tell me they pushed my car outside, it's gonna need a tow, and I owe them $118 because they did extra work that I did not ask for. The car was brought to have recalls done, and keys reprogrammed. One step apparently hasn't been done, and apparently $118 worth of work was done to my car without my permission. You're a real winner, Dennis. More
Service work done A while ago I was having an oil change done on my 2 year old Cruz. The staff noticed that a seal was leaking and suggested that I book the vehicle in A while ago I was having an oil change done on my 2 year old Cruz. The staff noticed that a seal was leaking and suggested that I book the vehicle in to see the extent of the damage. I did bring the vehicle back and was told that it might be a couple of days to complete the work. June did a a great job of letting me know how the repair work was going, and updating me when parts had to be ordered resulting in a delay. As soon as June realized that the repair would take longer than anticipated she arranged a rental vehicle for me at no cost to me. During the week that my vehicle was in the shop June called several times to keep me updated. I often use the dealership for quick lube oil changes. During one oil change my son said I should ask about the charger connection not working. One of the service rep quickly diagnosed it as two burnt out fuses. I got the fuses at the parts department and the service rep replaced them for me. I was very grateful for the extra effort he put in; without charging me for his time or knowledge. More
They won't work on older cars. when I called I was told they do not work on vehicles older then the year 2000. Excellent service Dan Saunders in Service Dept was a pleasure to speak with when problems with my GMC 2013 Terrain occurred.....even tho I had to leave my vehicle there Dan Saunders in Service Dept was a pleasure to speak with when problems with my GMC 2013 Terrain occurred.....even tho I had to leave my vehicle there as it wasn't drivable I was left with positive feeling that it would be looked at as soon as possible due to the fact I didn't have a appointment and was just a 'drive in' due to stalling issues. Dan called to update me when my vehicle would be inspected to find out what the problem was.....and received call earlier than expected to say my vehicle was ready to be picked up. Great experience which does not necessarily come with a vehicle when problems arise! More

Emergency service While driving home I got a message that engine power was reduced. The engine was overheating. Got home, sent a message to the dealership after hours, While driving home I got a message that engine power was reduced. The engine was overheating. Got home, sent a message to the dealership after hours, they mesaged back right away. I couldn't get an appointment for next morning. Took my chances and went in. They got the car looked at, determined the problem. Had to order a part so gave me a loaner vehicle and had the car fixed the next day. So happy with the service. Will be back to purchase me next vehicle! More

Called GM dealer in Fort Saskatchewan and the said to come right out and got it in. Also the have same drop of policy but up front about it, and did state of you let them know they will work with you to get it in and out sooner if the custermer has time restraints. Big thing much friendlier and up front staff More
Continue Damaging Customer Vehicles This is now a 2nd time after bringing in a vehicle, that damage happened either in the parking lot when complete or while in the service bay. I had a vehicle in for a coolant leak 3 times before they fixed it. On the 3rd time I picked it up with a large red scrape on the rear passenger fender. I have no red vehicles. After bringing the vehicle in for them to see, pictures were taken by the dealership (Saturday). I called 2 days later (Tuesday) to see what was happening. The service advisor told it me it was on her pile and she has yet to look at it and asked me to bring the vehicle in. I brought the vehicle in and waited 5 minutes for the service manager to come out. The advisor told me it would be another 5 minutes. I left the shop at that point, as I felt if I was not worthy to give me a moment to look at the damage caused by this shop, I will take my service elsewhere. Seeing other comments now about the service manager.....I made the right choice. More

They have scratched my truck and even after i proved to them it was not there when i dropped it off (and it was not done in the parking lot as the scratches go inside the door jamb). They won't fix it. When i tried to talk to the service manager, he won't return my phone calls and when i went to sit down with him to talk about it. He told me he has more important things to do and get out of his office. Im sorry, i thought i was the customer??? whats more important than me? Then when i went to talk to the new car general manager, he was appalled at how the service department was treating me and assured me that he would talk to the owner and look into it and get back to me.... Now he isnt responding to my texts or calls. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. Somewhere that customer service actually means something!! P.s. To the owner of northgate... If you arent aware of this situation then you should have a serious conversation with your managers. Make a customer happy and he will tell ten people, xxxx a customer off and he will tell a thousand. now wheres my survey card for GMC canada..... More
