I have a complaint about the service department. My wife, Yvette bought a 2019 Honda Civic in 2019 and purchased the "Honda Plus" warranty. Recently she started seeing alarms on her dashboard that w My wife, Yvette bought a 2019 Honda Civic in 2019 and purchased the "Honda Plus" warranty. Recently she started seeing alarms on her dashboard that were apparently related to a faulty multi-purpose camera at the front of her vehicle. We were told that it was driver error even though there was no damage done to the front of her vehicle. Due to the fact that it was driver error it was not covered under warranty and it would cost roughly $2500.00 to repair. We picked up the car at a cost of $84.75 to cover trouble-shooting. The new camera had to be ordered which was apparently done on Dec.29th, 2023 by Adam Wehbe. He informed me that it would be received by Jan. 5th, 2024 and he would contact me to make an appointment. I have yet to receive that phone call and it is now Jan. 9th, 2024. In the meantime we have taken our car to another Honda dealership for a 2nd opinion. Upon check-in we were told that because we had the "Honda Plus" warranty the trouble-shooting cost was covered. We were also offered a complementary car-wash...something not offered at the Kanata dealership. After inspection we received a phone call stating that the camera needed to be replaced and that it was a manufacturer's defect so it was covered under warranty. The part will be in by the end of the week. We picked up the cleaned car and it didn't cost us a penny!!! We have lost complete trust and confidence in Kanata Honda!!! More

I would like to thank Jack the salesman who showed us the Honda 2021 Civic. He did a great job and was able to speak in both French and English very clearly. The owner of the Kanata Honda branch in Ottawa should be completely embarrassed by the terrible customer service and lack of personal resolve to make the ongoing problems right in regards to my 2019 Honda P completely embarrassed by the terrible customer service and lack of personal resolve to make the ongoing problems right in regards to my 2019 Honda Pilot Black edition. Overall, I have spent way too much time and money with ongoing electrical problems with my centre console; it's beyond ridiculous. After being a loyal Honda owner who has purchased a new Honda Odyssey and new Honda Pilot Black edition from Kanata Honda I can truly say that I will never purchase a Honda again after this experience. Like others have said. They do everything they can to make unnecessary and expensive repairs to your vehicle. They do not go to bat for you even with an extended warranty. Honda's quality, engineering and reliability has declined significantly over the decades and it's compounded by a dealer who will not hesitate to do unnecessary and poor work on your vehicle. They’re more than great when they sell you a vehicle but you're on your own once they have your money. BUYER BEWARE!!! More

DO NOT PURCHASE ANY HONDA PLUS PRODUCTS. The Honda Plus agreement I signed says you can cancel the agreement for "any reason" within 30 days, no exceptions, no riders. It is my opinion arguing that while may have already been compensated by my insurance provider ( i haven't seen a breakdown of for my loss from my insurance) Kanata Honda lacks any moral and ethical reason to profit from my loss. My CRV was stolen. I requested the refund as per the Honda Plus Agreement but they said I got money back from my auto insurance and refused to honor the contract. Again, this is not specified in the Honda Plus Agreement. Before you sign any Honda Plus agreement, question them about it. Because they at Kanata Honda failed to disclose this in the contract, I invoked my right under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act to cancel the agreement for failure/misrepresentation of the Honda Plus Agreement by Kanata Honda and demand repayment for the full cost of the agreement. The monies should, the very least, be returned to my insurance provider. But instead, Kanata Honda chose to line their own pockets instead of doing what is morally and ethically right. Kanata took the opportunity to profit at the expense of others. It's because of actions such as these, we all pay higher insurance costs. For me, corporate greed is the best way to describe it. These guys are thieves. They removed parts from my nearly brand new vehicle that they didn't put back, then tried to charge me for parts that were never even installed! They were unable to diagnose the problem that I brought the vehicle in for, and refused to even consider other minor issues for repair under warranty. After all of that, they acted surprised that I was upset and critical of their service, to the point that they started trying to say my manufacturer warranty is void because of flashing beacon wiring when the beacons have never even been connected to the battery because I lost the fuses! They are totally clueless and should be ashamed of their conduct. Oh, and my steering wheel, seat and door handles were filthy afterwards! DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE! More
