Your only outstanding issue is your rust spot on the tailgate; as discussed, Subaru Canada has denied this as the break in the paint is due to an outside influence, which is not covered by any manufacturer (not just Subaru). A Subaru technician is no different than any other technician. An oil change is an oil change, that’s a very poor excuse.. I’ve never heard of Subaru School, you can’t convince me there’s such a thing. I know too many people in this industry. If other places are charging $100.00 with tax! and still making money and you’re charging $153.00 plus tax yet!! This is price gouging people! I hope people read this and feel the need to go elsewhere.

Upon careful review and discussion with our Parts team, I was informed that the part you seek is on back-order status at Subaru Canada’s Parts Distribution Center. Unfortunately, we cannot predict nor can we change the circumstances that cause these delays. Our role is limited to placing the order accurately; once the order is placed, we then receive an “estimated” time of arrival, and the order is linked to Subaru Canada’s parts inventory. We hope you understand. We also feel it is worth noting that ever since the world events transpiring over the last few years (Covid-19 pandemic), the automotive parts supply world wide has suffered, and to this day has not fully recovered. This has had an effect not only on parts supply but on new vehicle production, which can clearly be seen in new car inventory levels across the globe.
