I have made an offer to buy a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro at Gravel Chevrolet Buick Cadillac on Van Horne and Decarie. The car had only 20,000KM and looked in good shape. I asked the salesman two specific questions:
1.Who was the previous owner of the the car?
2.Was the car in any accidents?
The answer to the first question was that the dealership did not know who they bought it from. The truth was in the file , it was from a rental car company.
The answer to the second question was that the car was not in any accidents and the salesman handed me a report that showed that the car never had repairs or accidents.
I decided to have the car inspected and the expert (APA approved ) found that the right side of the car was filled in with thick car putty. Driving over a few Montreal potholes and the putty would crack and fissure. The repairs and the confirmation that the car was sold to Gravel by a car rental company was in the file at all times but the dealership decided not to share this information with me which is illegal.
This dealership is not to be trusted and they are using 70's deceptive methods on their clients. Buyer beware!!!!!!!
