"AMAZED..."

First of all we were looking for a second vehicle and tried another used car dealer here in town, they never even had the courtesy to call us back or answer any text messages and yes we were in a bad credit situation. then I found Garston and said to the wife ill try this one but have my doubts, hello Alex this guy kept us well informed on what was going on with our application/ financing he did what we thought and were told impossible to possible. the experience was great we weren't shamed into a vehicle because of our credit we got the one that we picked out from the beginning..But not just Alex we found everyone that we talked to there very polite, friendly and respectful, so to the owner I say if these employees are like this on a daily basis you have one xxxx of a team. I will recommend this dealership and have already. thanks to all especially Alex you went above and beyond for us when others walked away Walter Parsons.

"Started off super impressed ended super disappointed"

I've thought quite a bit before posting this review as they don't seem to like reviews that aren't 4+ stars. We went to look at Garston as our car is ready to kick the bucket, we loved that they weren't pushy, let us look around and then sat down to talk. I recieved a call a couple of days later stating I couldn't get approved for the vehicle we were interested in (which is not at all their fault, my credit is badly broken) so I agreed to go in and talk about something in my price range, talked about the down payment and test drove, fell in love with the vehicle. Called a couple of days later and was told the down payment has now jumped 500 dollars, and was offered something cheaper still to which I said I wasn't interested... when we went out to talk over everything they grabbed this vehicle for us to test drive right away, which would have been great had I not already stated we weren't interested (We were made to feel as though because our car was falling apart and credit was bad they thought they could push us into anything). After test driving anyway and reitterating our disinterest we were told that they hadn't even tried for the one they offered before as I had a vacation day on my pay stub which may I add still states that the overall pay was for 80 hours and was told my next one was of no use because of our week long plant shut down (still paid for 80 hours), but that he would try anyway. I was going in to make the downpayment on Friday so I called prior to driving 25+ minutes for the 4th time this week and was told my sales person would call me back (this was 2.5 hours to close), nothing. All day Saturday? Nothing. Overall, friendly people... horrible follow up/ communication. Of course I would rather purchase the vehicle I want from them, but have been approved elsewhere, where communication thus far has been better.

When customers come in we always try our best to get the best interest rate possible, so even if someone thinks their credit is bad we still try and assume its good and try to sell it that way to the lenders. Your opinion on your paystubs is exactly that, just an opinion, banks don't care if it's not in writing and actual pay, not vacation pay, this is for any type of legitimate financing. You were contacted many times and kept asking us to help so we kept showing you cars in your budget but you always kept saying you want something nicer but we kept explaining that due to your credit this beginner approval is all we could get. Many of our customers do this and rebuild their credit instead of just going and getting an in-house loan and staying in the exact same position forever. We finally had to just tell you what price range to stay in but you kept going over your budget so we left it in your hands. We are the highest rated dealership for a reason and always follow up but after this much contact, we just had to leave it to you to finally figure out that your taste is because it's not realistic with your budget.

"Best Car Buying Experience of my Life"

I would like to start off by saying I have never written a review in my life ,but I am compelled to after this great experience. I am a 50 year old male who has bought 15 new and used cars in his life ,and just had the best time buying ever with Garston Motors Due to some things 2 years ago I have terrible credit and I tried another place a few months ago and was offered 29% interest no thanks . 2 weeks ago my car was a total loss in an accident,I bought a cheap old car but it is so small it hurts me to get in and out ,I am a big guy to many cheese burgers I have looked at Garstons web site a few times and there prices were on par , so Friday I said hey what have I got to loose I applied on line for financing now remember crap credit. 10 minutes later I get a Call from Jen ,I missed the call but see an email from her . I responded and called them Ash answered the phone I told him my name and he said I have your application right in front of him and he is working on it,just needed to ask me some questions . After a very pleasant conversation he said give him a couple of hours to work on it . Less then 2 hours he sends an email saying got you approved when can I come in , I said tomorrow at 2 So Satureday at just before 2 I show up and I am greated by Moe great guy ,said I am here to see Ash As soon as I said my name over comes Ash and introduced himself with a genuine smile .We went to his desk walked me through what he done and suggested a couple of cars to look at , tried one very nice car but just not me ,when I Arrived after the test drive another fellow Brad introduced himself and asked how I liked it I told him not for me . He said no problem ,there was never any pressure ever from these guys I truly feel the want you to be happy and comfortable,sorry side tracked. Brad suggested this 2010 Chyrsler 300 very nice looking sat in it and went Ooooh Yaaaaa drove it and had a huge smile . Now back at the dealership Talking with Ash and now we have the car lets do the details .It on,y took about 20 minutes with lots of laughs and jokes back and forth I signed the papers in less then 24 hours from online application Oh I forgot to say Ash worked hard and got my crap credit self an interest rate less then 1/2 of what others offered he fought for me and I really appreciate him for it These guys and gals are truly in a league of there own , truly feel like family I picked my car up today 2 days earlier then expected woo hooo and LOVE IT I promise you anyone needling a car or truck and scared because of credit please let them help you , they will treat you with respect and if you have wounderfull credit and need a car go see them they have above average quality used cars at a fair price I am a Garston family member for life Go see them and tell them Big Randy sent you

"Amazing people and experience "

I give this place a 5 star rating because they found me a car and helped me be able to finance it when no other place could. They were very honest, no xxxxxxxx type people and very friendly with any questions you could have. They followed through quickly with helping me get the car as soon as possible. I am currently loving my new 2012 Chevrolet cruze ....it's a blessing and they made that happen. I couldn't be happier!! I will definitely be back in the future when needing a new car. They are the best of the best! Thanks again.

"Great Beginnings....Terrible Ending"

When we were first referred to this dealer with a great revue from a recent customer and friend of ours. The financing end of things was taken care of in under an hour. Staff was excellent while we were purchasing. I asked for paper work documenting everything that was completed on the vehicle for safety prior to delivery and 6 months later I still have no idea what was completed or not.... What I DO KNOW... Is that their follow through on customer service is terrible after purchase was complete. We have had multiple issues, continual since day one of delivery which they have refused to address and has cost us thousands to repair. This is where they Nicole and dime you!! I would never buy from them again and I would advise others not to purchase a vehicle from this dealer. Go to a reputable dealer such as Dodge, Ford , Hyundai, what have you to purchase a used vehicle!!

Hello Steven. You purchased a 2011 Dodge Journey with just over 154,000 kilometers on it. In the five months that you have owned the vehicle, you have put 30,000 km on it. This is 3 and 1/2 times the average Canadian driver. The fact that you have had to do regular maintenance (your tires and brakes) in that time is not a surprise. We have offered each time to provide you with our cost on these items to decrease your maintenance costs, and you have continued to expect regular wear and tear items be replaced free of charge. We are willing to help you, but you are expecting to receive free items when you have driven more than any of our customers in such a short period of time.

The staff at Garston Motors in Cambridge were a breath of fresh air. They were friendly, knowledgeable and did not pressure sale me. They treated me with respect and listened closely to my needs and went above and beyond to ensure that my buying experience went just the way I wanted it to. They were very efficient and made sure my vehicle was sparkling clean, with a full tank of gas, and it was even 2 days earlier than expected. I will recommend this dealership for anyone looking to buy a quality used vehicle, including my family or close friends, which says a lot.

The guys at Garston motors are amazing and so are their vehicles they made what I thought impossible possible. I drove away with my 2009 escape and couldn't be happier, they are very honest and up front and will do what they can to make sure you drive away with the vehicle you want. "Its like dealing with family"

We have just purchased our second car from Garston a beautiful 2011 Kia Soul. Three years ago we purchased a 2009 Ford Escape it has been a great vehicle and Andy and his crew were great. Seems we needed a second car, the Escape is still running well and is being handed down to our son, so we went back and dealt with them again. We were not disappointed, Once again we were treated with respect, and everyone was very friendly. They actually worked hard getting us great financing, and treat us like people, not just as a number, well actually like friends. We would highly recommend Garston Motors to anyone in the market for a new used vehicle, you won't be disappointed and you'll drive away with a smile on your face.
