I had already contacted several other Subaru dealerships and knew the values. Whitby Subaru told me that they would give me five to seven thousand dollars LESS. Despite several attempts in writing and phone to get the salesman to correct himself he continued the charade, in a blunt 'just being honest, sorry if you don't like it' attitude. Easily the least pleasant of the several Subaru salespeople I'd already spoken with at other dealerships. Imagine, 5 to 7 THOUSAND dollars less! Shocking yes, but sadly I'll bet their bullying attitude works on some unfortunate customers. Shameful and truly embodies the 'used car dealer' stereotype. More

I had done my resea In 33 years of car ownership, the purchase of my 2017 Forester was the smoothest and fastest transaction ever (about 20 minutes). I had done my research, and prepared a spreadsheet to outline an ideal price that would benefit both myself and Whitby Subaru (at the time was C & C Motors). Bob McCann was great to work with, and I was amazed that his computer already had a program to calculate the amount I would pay. The program was nothing I've ever seen. In the end he made only one trip to his sales manager.....and it was a done deal. Again 20 minutes from start to finish. Service, albeit expensive, was good over the past 3 years of ownership. Communication with the service advisors has always been top notch. I have no complaints. More
Extremely disappointed. Returned my leased forester in October. Full papers signed off by dealership. Today i see my credit score is down. Why? Because leasing shows $ 840 outstanding one month after retu October. Full papers signed off by dealership. Today i see my credit score is down. Why? Because leasing shows $ 840 outstanding one month after returning the leased SUV. What in the world is Subaru up to? Have been buying Subarus forever. Great Cars . However Highly irresponsible leasing accounting department.Could not careless "screw over customers " attitude . How will you make my credit score right? Pls call me asap at 416 725 5342. More
Wish I could give 0 stars. The absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had. Buyer beware. Took our car in for service bc it was making a weird sound. Were told it was something related to a service experience I have ever had. Buyer beware. Took our car in for service bc it was making a weird sound. Were told it was something related to a recall but there wasnt a fix yet and it was ok to drive (to PA). Our clutch went out at the border on boxing day. Had to have the car repaired in New York and rent a car so we didnt miss christmas with our family. $3800CAD later...Guess what noise the car no longer is making? More
Had an appointment for 08:00 am thay did not take the car in until 09:00 am why make an appointment if you are not going to honor it . Terrible!!!!! Boy, do I miss John Lawlor. When I called and found out he had left, I feared the worst, and it has all come true. We have a recall on our car for f Boy, do I miss John Lawlor. Subaru recommends we not use that seat til it is fixed. !!! I called Whitby Subaru for an update today. . With John gone our other interactions of late have been poor; this one was the worst. Doesn't know, person who might know not there today , call some other time, ( no offer of having them call us! ) and hey, it isn't easy to get 30,000 air bags you know!! Honestly-- I'm not making that up Subaru Corporate needs to step in there and demand some customer service, but they are probably charming when trying to sell, so--. More

I have been taking my 2015 Forester here for all of its scheduled maintenance, and have been paying dealer prices. A month ago, I was picking my husband up from the airport and heard a screeching sound when I stopped the car. He checked the brakes and found the left rear brake had seized and both rear brakes had ZERO pad left. ZERO. The last two times I’d taken the car in to C&C Motors, I’d asked them to check the brakes, as they felt off to me. Both times they told me they were fine. So my husband had to replace the pads himself – the car was undrivable. That was August. We really should have taken that as a sign to check their other “work,” however unfortunately we did not. The car was last taken in for an oil change in late May, for which we were charged roughly $75. Today, two months and 2000 km ahead of the next recommended oil change, the oil light came on. This happened on the freeway, on the way to work. We got off the highway and my husband checked the oil – there was practically none in there, and what was in there was sludge black. They obviously did not change the oil at the May service, and quite possibly not the time before that either. Their incompetence could have ruined my motor. Let me assure you, C&C Motors of Whitby, it doesn’t end with this review. I will tell everyone I know this story. Your complete disregard for doing your job has cost you my business, and earned you my enmity. Perhaps you’re not bothered by this … after all, Southern Ontario is so overpopulated, you would probably still have business even if you treated every single customer this way. However, be assured I will do what I can to spread the word. More
