I have over thirty years of service here at Smythe Volvo. When I started here, I was pulling weeds, dumping oil buckets and doing general facility maintenance. Eventually I progressed from a Technician to a Master Technician, Service Advisor, Service Manager then Service Director. My favorite part of working here at Smythe Volvo is that we invest our business energy into safety. Over the years, we've had many customers who survived accidents because they were in a Volvo. Additionally, we've had many police officers who come in and bought a Volvo because they've been at the scene of an accident and seen how a Volvo saved a person's life. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, specifically going for walks with my three sons.

I have moved from Summit to CT and I couldn't possibly take my beloved Volvo anywhere else to be looked after. I call ahead for an appointment and always ask for John because I consider him to be an outs take my beloved Volvo anywhere else to be looked after. I call ahead for an appointment and always ask for John because I consider him to be an outstanding mechanic. My car is 16 years old now, and is in excellent condition, thanks to John. I trust his advice implicitly, and whatever he recommends should be done to the car I accept without question. I always feel like I have arrived "home" when I go to Smythe Volvo because all at the service desk are so welcoming and eagerly make me feel at home. If ever I need to replace my car, of course I would only go to Smythe Volvo, although I have seen a Volvo dealer in Danbury, CT which is about 30 min. from my present home. As long as I lived in NJ, I had to get a loaner to get to work. Even when I go down to have the car serviced, they offer me a loaner. Most of the time I do not need one because a friend will pick me up. I am grateful to have had the pleasure of knowing those with whom I have done business these many years. How lucky I am! More

In shopping for a new car, I found the folks at Smythe plenty helpful and pleasant to work with. From the start, I had a candid conversation about making a buying decision within the next week, asking th plenty helpful and pleasant to work with. From the start, I had a candid conversation about making a buying decision within the next week, asking that he provide me with an aggressive price so that I would not have to spend so much time shopping around. He and his team did just that. As a first time car buyer, they did not skip any step in the process and made sure that I was purchasing the right car and choosing the correct financing options while helping me get the package that I wanted without sacrafice. I've been back for my first service and received much of the same great customer service. I plan on taking my car to their service shop even beyong the warranty. Would and have suggested to anyone within earshot that is looking to purchase a car, great brand/product and great service at Smythe Volvo in Summit. More

I have purchased seven (7) new Volvo's over the last 13 years from Smythe Volvo and would not consider another dealership. Sales folks willing to spend time with me: answering questions, reviewing cars available, test drives - no pressure, and they are readily available to answer questions by phone. Service: Courteous, p questions, reviewing cars available, test drives - no pressure, and they are readily available to answer questions by phone. Service: Courteous, polite, knowledgeable, they explain why actions were taken; they are very efficient at getting me in and out - and the loaner policy is outstanding. Also, I've on occasion dropped of a car *without* an appointment, due to some unexpected issue -- they are *very* accommodating here -- in most cases I got the car back the same day, and in worst case, no more than two or three days. For scheduled service appointments, car is ready when promised, if not sooner; and when I drop off the car, and haven't asked for a loaner, they always ask if I need a ride back home. Overall Volvos have been very reliable for us (driving them exclusively since 1987) - but more than that, it's Smythe that keep us coming back to the brand More

I'm on my fourth Volvo XC70 and have bought and had them serviced at Smythe Volvo over these many years. What sets Smythe apart are the people. From Kevin in the front and Sean in the back, and especially N serviced at Smythe Volvo over these many years. What sets Smythe apart are the people. From Kevin in the front and Sean in the back, and especially Nick, Tony, Tom and Doug at the service desk. Everyone is always very pleasant and more importantly helpful. This past winter while I was in Florida having my car servicesd at Germain Volvo in Bonita Springs I was told a needed a sigificant and costly part replaced. While I had confidence in the people at Germain I have more confidence in the people at Smythe, so I immediately got on the phone with them. I had Doug speak with the mechanic at Germain and confirm what needed to done. I worked closely with Kevin, Sean, Doug and Tony to resolve my problem and to minimize the cost of the repair. I wouldn't buy or have my volvo serviced at any other Volvo dealer in New Jersey. More

Although my wife and I were quite disappointed that our brand new Volvo C-70 (less than 2600 miles) went dead and needed service, bringing it to Smythe Volvo turned out be a rewarding and excelent experien brand new Volvo C-70 (less than 2600 miles) went dead and needed service, bringing it to Smythe Volvo turned out be a rewarding and excelent experience. After the car died again just one day after Volvo On Call boosted and charged the battery, we knew it was something that needed attention. I immmediatly called Smythe Volvo and spoke with Sean Flanagan (Friday afternoon) regarding the possibility of bringing the car in early Saturday morning (the next day!). He gladly said he could squeeze me in and expressed his sadness and concern over the problem we were experiencing. I explained to him that we would contact Volvo On Call early Saturday morning and, once they had it running, I would drive it over (luckily, they are only 10 minutes away from my home). Volvo On Call arrived at my home a little after 8 a.m. and jump started the car. We agreed to leave it running for a few minutes before I drove it over. I drove to Smythe (completely uneventful) and it was riding very nice. Sean was only too happy to take the car in and attend to it almost immediately, apologizing once again. I waited in the customer's lounge while it was serviced and, in a short while, Sean said it was ready. He explained the problems and said Smythe was able to rewrite the software in the computer so this particular problem would not happen again. He also put in a brand new battery, since the old one had been discharged twice. At this time, Steve Sargent, my original salesperson, came over to inquire about the car (and me). We chatted for a while and he could not have been nicer nor more concerned. It should really be kept in mind that Smythe Volvo seems to be a small family and the people who lease or purchase their vehicles from them are treated as if they belong to that family. Friendliness, professionalism, courteousness are just a few of the adjectives that come to mind. They really do care about their product and the people who buy it. It just goes hand in hand with the dealership. Please feel free to contact me for anything additional or if unsolicited testimonials are ever needed. And let's just hope that the car runs as smoothly as Smythe does. Thank you for your time. Respectfully, Robert (and Donna) Zwillich More
