I have over thirty years of service here at Smythe Volvo. When I started here, I was pulling weeds, dumping oil buckets and doing general facility maintenance. Eventually I progressed from a Technician to a Master Technician, Service Advisor, Service Manager then Service Director. My favorite part of working here at Smythe Volvo is that we invest our business energy into safety. Over the years, we've had many customers who survived accidents because they were in a Volvo. Additionally, we've had many police officers who come in and bought a Volvo because they've been at the scene of an accident and seen how a Volvo saved a person's life. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, specifically going for walks with my three sons.

My most recent experience at Smythe Volvo while buying a new car was as good as I remember it being 10 years ago when I bought my very first Volvo. Today, I traded-in my 2002 Volvo S80 for a new 2013 S80, new car was as good as I remember it being 10 years ago when I bought my very first Volvo. Today, I traded-in my 2002 Volvo S80 for a new 2013 S80, which was sold to me by Kevin Flanagan. The 2002 was still running well as it had been serviced accordingly by the great technicians managed by Sean Flanagan. However, I wanted a new car with all of the state of the art safety features and the Volvo S80 provided me the best vehicle value for the price. I couldn't be happier with my new car knowing that it will always provide me the realiability, comfort, and safety I demand. Thank you Kevin, Sean, and the rest of the wonderful staff at Smythe. I have owned many cars from several dealerships and have never experienced service this high. My car had a warranty issue that needed to be resolved. I had a family vacation planned and for my convenience t never experienced service this high. My car had a warranty issue that needed to be resolved. I had a family vacation planned and for my convenience the dealership picked up my vehicle from my home, performed the repair and returned it to my driveway. In addition when dropping the key off my wife saw a sign about a new accessory available for my car, automatic starter. I called the dealership for details and had this accessory installed in my vehicle during the same visit. When I came home I found my car parked exactly where I left it with not only the initial issue perfectly resolved but also my automatic starter had been installed and the user's manual left for me on the passenger seat. So very innovative how this accessory can be operated through the same keyless remote. There was also a bill in my car in which payment had neither been made nor requested. This type of service and trust bestowed on me by the dealership is so very greatly appreciated. My wife went in the next day to pick up our spare key and to pay the bill in which she was profusely thanked. Where today can you ever receive this type of service? No where that I know of! Also when dealing in person, by phone and email ALL of the employees are always extremely helpful, polite, patient, informative.... Thanks for being there for me. I will be sure to rave even more about this dealership after this experience. More

I brought in my 2008 C30 for a "no-crank, no-start" condition, and turned out to be a failed electronic steering column lock. My warranty expired a little over a year ago along with 52,000 on no-start" condition, and turned out to be a failed electronic steering column lock. My warranty expired a little over a year ago along with 52,000 on the clock. I also mentioned that I was a little disheartened being that I just made my last car payment a month ago. I have been with them since the day I bought the C30 and all of it's maintenance and repairs were done solely by them. For me, their honesty and transparency easily earned my full trust that they will always do the right thing. So, even after moving to New York, 25 miles away with another Volvo dealer 5 miles from my house, I still brought my car all the way to Summit, NJ for servicing. And I am a firm believer that loyalty is a BIG Plus. According to Tony, Sean honored the warranty through Volvo Goodwill Policy because of my impeccable service history, solid rapport and unwavering loyalty with them. It really felt good and reassuring that I chose the right place for all my car needs. Every service visit or even a simple inquiring phone call, Sean, Tony, Doug, Tom, Gary, the entire service team genuinely want to provide customers 100% satisfaction consistently, all day...everyday! I recently had my car serviced at Smythe only to have it quit on my way home. Thankfully, the service department was still open when I called, although it was very close to 6pm. Thank you Tony and Sean (I quit on my way home. Thankfully, the service department was still open when I called, although it was very close to 6pm. Thank you Tony and Sean (I think it was Sean?) for bringing me a loaner very quickly, and taking my car back to Smythe to have it checked after discovering a hose clamp that was not secure. You went above and beyond duty by coming out on a cold, dark night when your work day was over, when you could have just instructed me to have AAA tow it back. All is well that ends well, and it did here. I would have given a 5 for quality if it weren't for the hose clamp, although it was a minor issue. But your professionalism in dealing with it made all the difference and I will definitely be back. More
