My car, which has reliably supported me for 110 Thank you Service Manager Mike Kayes for your help to put new seals on the injectors of my 2010 GTI. My car, which has reliably supported me for 110,000 miles of only dealer scheduled maintenance service finally started stumbling at cold start and throwing engine codes for intake fault. I am a DYI kind of guy for big service jobs but glad to pay for scheduled maintenance to have a third party keep an eye on this daily driver GTI. I bought the newest “BH” suffix intake manifold and VW/Bosch injector seal kits and removed the manifold and spent 5 hours cleaning the intake ports with the CRC GDI cleaner, straight and 90degree picks, and a ship vac. I called every Bosch service center around Trenton and none would help but I brought my injectors and seal kits and asked Mike for help and he got it done that afternoon. ! I was able to put the new injectors in and the new manifold on that night. What a difference! Runs like new and on my drive home from work the check engine light turned itself off! I will be bringing my car in for the 110,000 service soon but thank you Mike for helping me do this job right! More
