Sold damaged car won't honor warranty I purchased a 2013 Acura ILX from Mark Butler at O'Daniel Automotive on November 19, 2016. While test driving the car I noticed a vibration in the st I purchased a 2013 Acura ILX from Mark Butler at O'Daniel Automotive on November 19, 2016. While test driving the car I noticed a vibration in the steering wheel and I mentioned this to Mark. He reassured me they inspected the car and there is nothing wrong with it. When I got out of the car after the test drive I noticed that the back left rim was bent a little. I also mentioned this to Mark and he started selling me on there 3 month 3000 mile warranty and the clean car fax report. He told me that buying this car was worry free because it has a clean car fax report, they did a 50 point inspection, and with the 3 month warranty I could even return the car at anytime during the 3 months and get my money back. While driving this car since the purchase date, I continued to noticed the vibration in while driving and I also noticed that if you hit a bump while driving the car it would bounce weird like it might loose control. On February 3rd I took the car to Hubler Acura, in Indianapolis to get the vibration and the weird bounce diagnosed. This cost me $95 plus tax but I wanted an inspection from an Acura dealer since I was sold this car by a non Acura dealer in Ft Wayne. Hubler Acura informed me that the car has 4 bent rims, a bent right rear control arm. Hubler Acura also suggested to me that they thought the car had been in an accident as it had aftermarket parts on it that suggested to them that the car had been in an accident. I told them I just bought this car and that O'Daniel Automotive and Mark Butler had presented me with the clean Carfax report, and there inspection report and were presenting this car as a clean problem free car. On February 5th I reached out to Mark Butler at O'Daniel Automitive and sent him a copy of Hubler Acura's findings. I asked Mark if his dealership would be able to do anything to help with the repairs and asked how the car could have been in an accident if they were selling a clean car fax and inspection. Mark told me at this point to get him a parts order and he would go to the manager to see what they could do. I sent the repair quote from Hubler Acura and Mark emailed me and said that he spoke to his manager and that since I've owned my car for 3 months (which is not accurate) they will not help with the repairs. After I received this I copied my sales slip and their warranty info which was given to me when they purchased the car and I proved them that I haven't owned the vehicle for 3 months until February 19th. I first notified them of the 2 problems (4 bent rims and bent right rear control arm) which should be covered under the 3 month/3000 mile warranty on February 5th which is 14 days prior to the 3 month ownership deadline. The car is also under the 3000 mile limit. This means these repairs should be covered under their warranty. I will gladly drive up to their dealership so that they can replace the bent right rear control arm and repair the bent rims. Also looking at the inspection report which was done in July it shows that there was repairs done to the right rear which leads me to believe the bent right rear control arm was already an issue and the inspector just missed it or they didn't want to pay for the repair so they ignored the problem and sold it with a bent right rear control arm. It's also possible that between the time the inspection was done and November 19th when they sold me the car that the rims and right rear control arm were bent when an employee was driving the car or it was being test driven. How long is an inspection report good for? When I bought the car the inspection report was 11 days shy of being 4 months old. Today I spoke with Aaron Warner the sales manager and he told me that he would not honor their warranty that they used as a selling point. I asked him if he would rather have bad publicity rather than repair an issue that should be covered under their warranty. I consider their warranty a fake sales point since they don't honor it. In response to the vibrations I told Mark Butler about the vibrations and the one bent rim on November 19th when I purchased the car. I have a witness who was with me at the time of purchase. Nobody has offered to reinspect my car since I notified O'Daniel Automotive of Hubler Acura's from findings until I wrote this review. All I have heard form O'Daniel auto was first that I had already had the car for 3 months which was a false statement and then when I proved that they looked for other loop holes to try and not repair my car. No where on the warranty does it specifically say a control arm is not covered. If you look at O'Daniels inspection report it shows where they did work to the back rear wheel where the bent control arm is. Also this inspection report was done in July and I Purchased the car in November. Plenty of time for it to get damaged by an O'Daniel employee or a test driver so I don't really consider the inspection report valid. Also the inspector could have had a bad day or was in a hurry to get the inspection over with. I assure I have done nothing to this car since I purchased it. I bought it on November 19th and it has had the problems ever since it was purchased. It was the Holiday season and I was busy with my wife and two kids so I did not get a third party inspection done until February. I was also verbally assured this was a worry free warranty for 3 months when it was described to me by Mark Butler. I purchased this car on a Saturday close to closing so the entire process was kind of rushed. If I had damaged the car after driving it off the lot I would not ask the dealership to repair it. It was sold to me this way which is why I think they should repair the problems. More

Paid twice for my jeep I know, now, that I should always get my vehicle inspected before I make a purchase. Learning the hard way has taught me a valuable lesson. After on I know, now, that I should always get my vehicle inspected before I make a purchase. Learning the hard way has taught me a valuable lesson. After only two short months (barely), my transmission completely went out. I realize that this is something that cannot be foreseen. It hadn't even started slipping until the day it actually went out. The problem was that when my mechanic raised my jeep up on the hoist to take a closer look he found something instantly disturbing. Tim, my mechanic, immediately called my into his shop to show me what he had found. As soon as I arrived he showed me that he could start poking his finger through my completely rusted out frame. Honestly, the first and only thing that I thought about was the fact that I had my family in that jeep more than a dozen times. Tim proceeded to tell me that this was something that the dealership should have noticed beforehand. I should be pissed off, and I was, at first. More than anything, I'm disappointed. Disappointed that someone could think that it's okay to put me or my family's lives in danger for some extra money in their pocket. Shame on me for not getting the inspection before my purchase. Shame on O'Daniels for putting me a position for needing to get the inspection. More

After talking with Mark, he instantly eased my mind with his knowledge and experience with older cars. He sent me so many pictures that I had to create a separate file to store all of them. Mark was always willing to take calls when I had even more questions. You could sense the energy that he had for this car and for helping out a customer. Jeremiah's help made all the paperwork that had to be sent back and forth for this deal go very smoothly. Mark also went the extra and helped to arrange transportation. When I did receive the car, it was exactly as advertised. I hope to have this "toy" for along time to come. More

It was a pleasure dealing with Mark Butler I was looking for a vehicle for my wife. When I pulled into ODaniel Auto I was met by Mark Butler. I had known Mark's family prior to meeting Mark and I was looking for a vehicle for my wife. When I pulled into ODaniel Auto I was met by Mark Butler. I had known Mark's family prior to meeting Mark and it was a pleasant surprise to have some things in common. He was very helpful and knowledgeable in helping me pick out the perfect vehicle. He wasn't pushy by any means. He was genuinely concerned about making sure we had the correct vehicle for her needs. He wanted me to bring my wife back to test-drive several Vehicles so that we knew she would be happy with the vehicle that she would be driving. After test-driving several very nice vehicles with low mileage my wife was able to pick out the one that would best suit her. I would definitely recommend Mark Butler at ODaniel Auto to anyone that is looking for a vehicle. Barry Story More

Initially I went to a different dealership and had a terrible experience. The salesman would not even unlock the car that I was interested in; he told me to come back when I was more serious. I went back a few days later (hoping for a different salesman) and was disappointed to see that the car I wanted was currently being sold to someone else. Frustrated and discouraged, I went to O'Daniel to see some other options. I was greeted with a smile and immediately felt better. Mark was very tentative to my needs. He found many options for me in my price range and according to my preferences. He let me drive a few different cars until I found the one. I am so very pleased with my car buying experience. I got a great deal on my car; a practically new car for a used price. Mark even put gas in the car for me before we left! I am very thankful that I went to O'Daniel. Great price, great customer service, great experience overall! More
