This will be my second subpar review … I booked an appointment to get my 2015 Equinox serviced at Lakewood Chevrolet for Friday, April 5, 2024. Onstar reported a problem with my battery/starter connec appointment to get my 2015 Equinox serviced at Lakewood Chevrolet for Friday, April 5, 2024. Onstar reported a problem with my battery/starter connectivity. As it was due for an oil change, I requested an appointment to get both done. I brought the vehicle in at 07:30 AM that morning and would leave it while I attended other matters. I returned to the service department at 13:30 hrs that afternoon to check on the vehicle as I was in the vicinity. The oil change was completed; however, the battery/starter issue was yet to be looked at. I was informed that it wouldn’t be looked at until after 14:00 hrs at the earliest. If my vehicle needed parts, then the likelihood of getting my Equinox back that day would be slim. For six hours, Lakewood couldn’t find a technician to even check the condition of the battery or starter. I was very disappointed as I have been dealing with Lakewood for over 30 years and until recently, have experienced exceptional service. There was a time when my vehicles needed servicing, the condition would be assessed, parts ordered if needed and installed prior to end of day. That doesn’t happen anymore. I guess customer loyalty has doesn’t mean much anymore… More

Friendly, knowledgeable and professional service people. First time, I went to bring my vehicle, I was helped by Jaimee Scully and provided with a Uber service whiIe my vehicle was looked after. Then, First time, I went to bring my vehicle, I was helped by Jaimee Scully and provided with a Uber service whiIe my vehicle was looked after. Then, the 2nd time, I met with James Logozar to get my 2024 Chevy Trax checked due to a GM Recall. Both of the Service People were there to help. James has been my go to guy for service of my vehicles, for many years. He is very professional, vey knowledgeable and is a great communicator. There’s always some sort of issue with service. The service manager is extremely condescending and unhelpful for anything, Always. Mechanics recommend expensive, unnecessary parts and services all The service manager is extremely condescending and unhelpful for anything, Always. Mechanics recommend expensive, unnecessary parts and services all the time, don’t diagnose problem after several visits, and refuse to do necessary work, even when specifically requested. Complete lack of customer service. Gave them one last chance & they lied to my face about a very obvious problem & ignored another. Perfect place to go if you enjoy burning $100 bills, several at a time, then go on with your life, with nothing for it. They told me I need and entire power steering system, then no, you don’t. Needed brakes same day they were replaced, ignition coils replaced when it was the BATTERY, need to REMOVE the BUMPER to see openly visible area under it, refusing to acknowledge their other dealership in Sherwood Park documented doing a warranty repair that they did NOT do. And ignore you until the end of day thinking you will just pay and leave. Then the shop manager tells the advisor to change the paperwork after they give it to you, right in front of you!!! None of the service advisors ever call you back when they are “going to check into” something. You have to chase them. Whoever they need to speak to ALWAYS went home early, whether it’s the manager, an advisor, or the tech. ALWAYS. They have NEVER correctly diagnosed, nor fixed, a single thing, with numerous visits, but charge excessively every single time. I did speak to the previous dealership manager. He wasted over an hour of my time, while he chatted with staff, after a scheduled appointment time, then spent the entire conversation on his computer, then did nothing but offer to sell my vehicle for less than 1/3 of its value. Never responded after. More
