My Review Of Winnipeg Honda:
I have purchased 5 vehicles in the last 10 years, three of them new. Every step of this experience with Honda was, surprisingly, a new one for me. I had a bad experience with VW, and was looking to trade in. Every dealership I spoke to, including VW themselves, gave me a trade-in price in the low 20,000s. New Experience #1: Honda gave me as much as $7,000 more for my trade than other dealerships.
Our salesman, James, is New Experience #2. I expected, and even anticipated, some small talk and general chat. With James, however, the experience was far more personable. His friendliness doesn't come off as just a means to an end, but as someone genuinely interested in helping. The Finance Manager, Judy, was another pleasant aspect. She introduced us to New Experience #3, a warranty option that allows us to purchase more when it runs out (time/KMs). This is the first time I've paid more for the protection plan than the warranty.
Finally, this brings us to New Experience #4. After the sale, when we came to pick up the vehicle, we found that we wouldn't be just driving it off the lot. It was in pristine condition, on the show floor, with a signed "thank you" sheet as well as a big red bow. Then, all of the staff on hand (it seemed) came and congratulated us on the purchase. The 15 or so people there applauding did kind of make us feel on the spot a bit, but it seems they take their "treat like family" mindset to its fullest extent.
Not only would I recommend them to others, I already have to my parents. If the vehicle treats me as well as this dealership, I can't imagine going elsewhere.
