I came in with a suspected bad alternator on my 2012 CR-V. They confirmed the alternator was bad and gave me a repair quote of $900. I was unwilling to spend that much money. I decided to replace it mys CR-V. They confirmed the alternator was bad and gave me a repair quote of $900. I was unwilling to spend that much money. I decided to replace it myself. After replacing my alternator I thought it would've easier if I'd removed the cooling fans and radiator. I would've had a lot more room to work. Removing the coolant, removing part of the bumper and then the fans and radiator would have cost $900. Thanks to Hughes for verification and thanks to me for doing it myself! More
