From the first contact with Benjamin, the experience has been smooth and pleasant. Attention to details, honesty, ethics, and respect obviously rate high for Benjamin judging from what we saw. When I walked in I was greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Over the two and a half years that I owned my vehicle they were always stellar in their customer service and maintenance of my vehicle. This year I decided to move to a crossover and I had the same friendly service. Danny Jamal went over and above to meet my needs, along with Wally. Shameer and Pat were also there to give me any guidance and answer any questions.

I had another service last week and it a great experience. Mark Vas went out of his way to see that everything went smoothly. He regularly updated me on the status of my car and was warm and friendly.
And the best part was that Shawn was very apologetic for the previous service and he gave me a complimentary service. No payment was charged !! Now that's what O call customer service.

Poor inspection service reporting - Jonathon
Bel Air needs to improve their follow-up service reporting. on inspections. I took my vehicle to Bel Air for a regular scheduled servicing, which includes a number of inspections. Two issues about the quality of Bel Air's reporting on inspections. First, neither the paper sheet nor the service representative were able to tell me the state of the items (ie. brakes) inspected, other than a verbal response when asked that "they must be OK". Second, the list of things inspected did not correspond to the list of things that were to be inspected. For example, the work was also to include an inspection of the cabin air filter, but this was not included in the list of things that were completed. When I asked the service representative (Tony) about this he said "there are so many filters we can't list them all or the form would be too long, but it must have been done" He could not say why some things were listed as done and not others, but only assured me that it must have been done. He actually said "I know there are other places that have better reporting, but this is just the way we rolll" Wow.
This is an example of how not to do customer service. I still don't actually know if the cabin filter was inspected, or what the status of my brakes is.

I had some unusual circumstances and we worked thru them. They were very patient with me and my many questions and requirements. They were always friendly and never gave up even if it meant doing something unusual just to accommodate me. Norm, my salesman, was particularly helpful and attentive to my needs. I bought a 2011 GS 350 AWD w/55,000km last December from Performance Lexus in St-Catharines. The car needed new tires in order to be sold. They installed Michelin Sport at the front and some cheap Chinese-made Altenzo tires at the back. First, an AWD vehicle must always have identical tires with similar wear on all four. Second, look up Altenzo Sport Comforter tires and you will see how dangerous they are. It cost me more than $500 to get identical Michelin Sport tires for the back.
When I test drove the car, the rear view mirror was falling. After I bought the car, I discovered the left rear door panel was loose due to a broken plastic pin. Also, under the car two pieces of plastic designed to provide protection were broken and it cost me $150 to replace them. The cabin air filter was completely clogged. It cost me $45 for a new one.
I filed a complaint with Lexus Canada more than 3 months ago but never heard back from the dealer
UPDATE: April 13, 2016 - I was contacted by Vince Lepiane, Service Manager at Performance Lexus and I was offered to be fully reimbursed for what it cost me to have the rear tires changed to match the brand/model of the front tires. I will update again, as soon as I receive the cheque. Thanks Vince for the gesture.
UPDATE April 20: Yesterday I received a cheque to reimburse me for the exact amount it cost me to change the two tires. I am grateful to Vince Lepiane, Service Manager at Performance Lexus and I can't blame him for my misfortunes as he told me he wasn't aware that an AWD vehicle must have 4 identical tires. And I also can't blame him for never having heard back from Performance Lexus as he told me that he had never heard of my complaint to Lexus Canada in January that was forwarded to Performance Lexus.
And in retrospect, Performance Lexus didn't need to change those two broken pieces of plastic under the car, nor change the cabin air filter in order to sell this vehicle. Again, thank you.
CLARIFICATION: I was re-reading my review and noticed I omitted a small but important detail; I only heard back from Performance Lexus AFTER I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. IF you search the BBB you shall find my complaint.
