Hi Jennifer, regret to hear about your frustrations. I grabbed your VIN number and checked what open campaigns and recalls are available for your vehicle. At this time, the Customer Satisfaction Campaign (CS2311A), Anti-Theft Ignition Protector is the only available campaign that can be performed. There is a pending safety recall that does not have a remedy available which means there is no repair parts or procedure that can be done at this time. The SC284AM, HECU Fuse Inspection is the one that cannot be performed at this time due to Kia not having a repair. There is nothing that can be done by anyone at a Kia dealership until Kia Manufacturing releases the step repair procedures and replacement parts, if needed for a recall. The Kia service team was 100% able to complete the Anti Theft Campaign on your vehicle this morning, which your appointment was for. It is understood that you elected to not have the available campaign completed. Your review eludes to being turned away, which was not the case. Since you have never serviced with Tasca Kia before, the service teams always looks forward to a new customers first ever visit as they always look to build new business relationships. We understand your overall frustration with your 2012 Kia Soul, if it is felt that Tasca Kia is too far away for service or in any way not convenient, Kia of Attleboro, which is a few miles away from your residence can complete the Anti Theft Campaign and the HECU Fuse recall, once the remedy becomes available. AND AS I WAS TOLD BY YOUR DESK STAFF...IF I DID THE ANTI THEFT RECALL IT WOULD MAKE MY AFTER MARKET REMOTE FOR MY CAR INOPERABLE. WHAT GOOD DOES THAT DO FOR ME OR ANY OTHER CUSTOMER WITH A REMOTE NOT PURCHASED THRU KIA??!!! THIS COMPANY REALLY SHOULD GET THEIR xxxx TOGETHER TO WHERE THE CUSTOMER IS NOT LEFT UNSATISFIED. PERIOD.

Hi Jennifer, Yes that is correct. Since all aftermarket remote starters have a pass-through which allows the vehicle's network to be overridden (which increases the risk of being stolen), Kia Manufacturing's Anti-Theft Campaign installs an immobilizer feature which eliminates the ability for any ignition pass-throughs. This will prevent the aftermarket remote start from being operable. All factory or Kia brand remote starts will continue to work. The aftermarket one however will not work after the campaign is completed.
