I purchased a car from Riverhead Toyota very recently, my salesman was Ali Shah. Ali was very, very helpful in my decision to purchase a Rav4 vehicle that was for sale at Riverhead Toyota dealership. The first thing was the dealer location was approximately 2 hours driving distance from where I live. I asked Ali if he could send me a phone recording of the car and he did. I explained that the distance was a barrier to the sale because if I didn't like the car or something went awry with my trade-in purchase, I could have taken a rather long trip for nothing. Ali obliged to drive the car to me. After seeing the car on video and reading the Carfax report everything looked great. I also provide photos of my trade-in vehicle and it was also in pristine condition. Ali dropped the vehicle off to me, we did the paperwork and exchanged keys and I have to tell you I got the car of my dreams only because of Ali. Thank you, Ali. First I want to say that this is a retraction from a previous review that I removed after the Dealerships immediate response. I originally brought my Prius to Riverhead Toyota with a 12 volt battery pro previous review that I removed after the Dealerships immediate response. I originally brought my Prius to Riverhead Toyota with a 12 volt battery problem that in all fairness was installed by another out of state dealership. After speaking with the Service Department Manager Mike Hamill about my issue, Mike decided to give me a new replacement battery even though he knew he would not be reimbursed by Toyota Corporate. That's right THEY ATE THE COST !!!How often do you hear of that happening ??? This gesture on Mike's part immediately changed my bad feeling about the dealership that I had grown to love before this issue. They once again have a very satisfied customer that will be returning for service ,parts and a new Prius in the future. After all don't we all just want to be appreciated and treated fairly as loyal customers ??? Mike made it right and I appreciate his efforts. Finally! A dealership that get it! I have never had a car buying experience like this. After 2 dealerships near me attempted to rip me off by offering cars with a high “market value adjustment” I decided to buying experience like this. After 2 dealerships near me attempted to rip me off by offering cars with a high “market value adjustment” I decided to drive the 60 miles to Riverhead Toyota after seeing the exact same car and options that the other dealers had and met with Jeff Schepps. After a quick walk around of the car and a test drive I explained to Jeff my previous experiences, and his response was “I guess I have one shot to earn your business.” And he did, he came back minutes later with an offer slightly below MSRP and I jumped on it. No b.s, no games. Exactly how buying a car should be. I will gladly work with Jeff and this dealership again when I have a need for another car.
