We are sorry to hear that you feel this way and we can certainly understand your frustration as we are frustrated as well when the manufacturer keeps changing the ETA for customers vehicles to arrive. I can assure you we do not lie to our customers and only give them the information that we get from the manufacturer. These are very fluid times and right now manufacturers are still struggling with with supply chain issues and there are shipping and rail car shortages in Mexico where the Versa is made that is also slowing everything down. Unfortunately we have no control of this and like you are discouraged that we are still dealing with this 3 yrs into Covid. I understand you asked for your money back which we will do but keep in mind unless you can find a car on the lot this is what can happen and unfortunately it happens more than any of us like. Again we are sorry for the delays but unfortunately we have no control over it. Siobhan and Tom are great employees and always do what they can to provide every customer a great experience. In no way does this reflect on them as they can only convey to the customer what they are being told by the manufacturer, they have no control of production and shipping delays. We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with your visit to Peters. I looked into what happened and spoke to everyone involved. The first day the vehicle was looked at it was in the middle of being reconditioned. So yes it was probably still dirty and we were probably better off not even showing it to you or any other customer at that point in time. When you came back to see the vehicle again, it had been all cleaned up and there were no issues with the cleanliness. The price of the vehicle was set at already low price and was set below the market price which is determined by what other like vehicles are priced at. We could not discount the vehicle any more than we already had and your offer of $1700 under that could not be accepted. We wish that it had been possible but unfortunately it was not possible. At Peters we set prices by market conditions which again is determined by the consumers. Our policy is to sell more even if it means making less. As far as the the vehicle having an exhaust leak it does not. I had the vehicle brought back into our service department and rechecked and no exhaust leak was found. The vehicle was not only good mechanically but passes state inspection. As far as the paint it is a used vehicle and yes there could be defects in the paint but the vehicle is price according to the condition of the vehicle. Again we are sorry that you feel you did not have a good experience while you were here. Peters is well known for its customer satisfaction and has been voted the best dealer in Nashua .

I never said there was an issue with cleanliness, I said it has chips in the paint, chips in the windshield, vibrates when it’s idling, and needed new tires. The car sounded like a race car, so yes it very much needs another exhaust. I was more put off that there was zero negotiating, that is what salesman are suppose to do, $1700 off was fair for the amount of work it needed, and it was already priced at the high end of market value, which we were told it was priced as it being in excellent condition and that was not the case. But again, the salesman we had didn’t even try to counter offer, he pretty much kicked my husband out as soon as he offered $1700 under. We had just bought a vehicle there in may at peters Honda and had a much better experience, will never return to the Nissan portion again.

Allison, I Completely understand your frustration about the pricing and that you think $1700 off the vehicle was fair. Not every used car we have on the lot has room to negotiate. When we appraise a vehicle we look at market conditions and what other like vehicles are selling for on the market. While some dealers focus on making a higher profit per vehicle we focus on selling the vehicle as quick as possible at a fair price. Not everyones idea of a fair price are the same. While there are vehicles that the managers may have room for a small discount this vehicle did not. We have spoken to your sales person and if he came across as rude he apologizes as well as the management and owners of the dealership. We do our best to make every customer happy and hope that you will accept our explanation and our apology. Rick Trottier Director of Operations.
