Unforunately a lot of this is just not correct. We were able to bring this visiting owner’s 2016 Escape with 89,435 miles in May of 2023 in a timely basis. We performed the services on the RO and customer paid for services rendered. Greg Engert, who has been with Palmetto for 9 years, treated the daughter with respect. Now, almost a year later and 10,000 miles the customer wants a refund because oil is dirty? I’m sorry but not uncommon. Also not uncommon to need a cabin air filter after 10,000 miles. Lastly, the customer had originally stated she was in our dealership in October 2023. Wrong again. It was almost a year ago. More than happy to review with customer. If there is some documentation otherwise showing there has been an oil change somewhere between when we did our work and now a year later and 10,000 miles later, please let me know. Been doing this for 30 plus years. We don’t conduct business that way.

The receipts are attached to a BBB complaint. This post has a May 2023 visit. And they need to get the facts straight .. not 10K miles and not 1 yr later (reread my post) and the fact another dealership backed my complaint. The dealership response is based on what they think their reputation is, not what actually occurred. They just wanted me to change the rating.

Again, our repair order shows a service date of May 2023. The vehicle had 89435 miles on it. Now, almost a year later the vehicle is at Tiger Ford in West Union and as 98,486 miles on it. Tiger Ford basically pointed out that it needed service and a cabin air filter. Again, not uncommon for the mileage. We recommended work last May (2023) and the customer agreed to have work done. We completed the work and charged the customer for work performed. The technician is a Ford Master technician. Pretty plain and simple. Now, almost a year later and 10,000 miles the customer wants their money back?

I had to get an oil change at about 90,000 miles where the mechanic noted there was barely any oil left and there was not a leak. I have receipts for that oil. The coolant was also extremely low. I don't understand how it could last 89,000 miles then only last 10,000. The recent dealership noted the cabin air filters were out of place as if someone had tried to just shove them back in. Unfortunately I did not immediately suspect that they had not done the services I purchased, so I did not adequately document everything. That being said, I am not aware of any mechanical issue that would cause me to have to replace oil after about 1,000 miles or have to replace coolant after around 10,000 miles. Additionally, I am unsure how they are able to comment on the level of respect I received as they were not present for the interaction. I am aware there is not enough documentation to resolve my situation but wish to prevent future customers from similar experiences.

I'm sorry. I was unaware you had a service done on your vehicle at 90,000 miles just after having it serviced here at 89,435. 565 miles later. Please provide that information and repair order and where the work was performed and the technician notes. If in fact the oil was low at that point, we would of figured you would have notified us and brought this to our attention us at that time almost a year ago. If that had been the case at that time and there is proof of that being the case we would have gladly refunded your payment. Greg simply stated that he felt everything went well when you were here. Technician that did the work has been a Ford technician for 10 years. He is extremely thorough.

A member of your team has already been in contact with us and was made aware of the need for an additional oil change between dealership services. You should have access to the receipt for the oil at that time. If you need any further information regarding the oil and/or the coolant, please reach out directly.
