About 45 mins from dealership receive phone call advising me the car had been sold. Continue to the dealership ask for clarification and I’m essentially told I’m SOL because a deposit, that was never discussed or asked for had not been placed. My research does not indicate the requirement for a deposit, I’m looking into this further, regardless of the legality of their actions I cannot believe a high end dealership such as Lexus, would act like this. In defence of my salesman Jake, who was not at work on the day of pickup, he had referred me to a member of his sales team, who I can only assume essentially stole his sale.(requires management approval) Worst car dealership experience I have ever experienced in my life. Was meant to be my teenage sons first car he was with me at the dealership, all they could say to him was sorry. Worst experience / cheating customers: Lexus of Calgary cheating customers by advertising lower price cars on their website and selling for higher. Next morning I phoned the sales rep (Claudia) and she told me that the car I want to buy is $62,911 and not $58,649 as shown on their website. After trying to speak with the manager (Brad) I was told he is busy and not available to speak to me. I asked he can call me but never received a call from anyone in this dealership. Sure the price is not gonna be the only problem if you buy a car from these guys. Now I get why so many Calgarians prefer to drive all the way to Edmonton to order their cars. Also will send a complaint letter to Lexus Canada. More
