We called from Vancouver Island about a Traverse we were interested in only to find out it was a scam. The salesman, Larry, told us on the phone that he will price match a dealership here in our hometown and that we'd be leaving Key West with "big smiles" and that the hold deposit was $100. We took the ferry there to go test drive the car and we liked it. So we went inside to do business and Larry disappears while were doing paperwork with Ivan (manager). He gave us a different price and kept saying they can't go lower. We explained how Larry told us over the phone that he would price match our dealership and Ivan kept saying no. He then asked us for a down payment which we refused. We told him Larry said it was $100 to hold the car and he said no it would be a down payment. We left feeling scammed and annoyed. On top of that we have two small children we had to bring with us and the ferry cost was not cheap as you all know. So we went there for nothing. The next day Larry calls us and asked us to come buy the car and that he felt that he made friendship with us...YEAH RIGHT BUDDY! He disappeared...I wouldn't say that's friendship. He kept my husband on the phone for 30mins begging us to buy the car then we found out the day we came home they dropped the car price while we were there and NO ONE told us. I couldn't believe it. Larry was trying to tell us that the car will be sold this weekend...it has been there for a year lol. Anyway, please don't do business with these scanners. They are untrustworthy and will try to scam you for every penny you have. I'm glad we didn't do our cash deal with them. Good luck everyone.

I contacted Maria via Craigslist inquiring into a Ford Edge Sport. From the beginning she was very pleasant to deal with and answered all of my questions in regards to the vehicle promptly.

I then came in for a test drive and met Joel, who got me set up with the test drive with one of his sales reps. Now, the sales rep was not a very personable person and was definitely not suited for the job, but dealing with Joel was always pleasant. The vehicle I test drove was not for me, so he searched and found me exactly what I wanted and brought it in for me to take a look at.

As it takes me awhile to make a decision, Joel and Maria were both very patient with me and put up with me coming to the dealership many times to test drive the Ford Edges. Overall I had a great experience with Key West Ford and will definitely be recommending them to anybody looking to purchase a vehicle.

They helped me into a brand new car within budget. Super friendly and helpful staff! Not pushy like other dealerships that just want a sale. They worked with us and made the experience perfect! I live in Langley and drive all the way out to new west just for service they're that awesome!

The staff at Key West Ford are always friendly and are willing to help in any way that they can. We (Olson Electric Ltd.) have purchased several vehicles over the past 6 years and the service has always been top notch. As a company that is located on the Sunshine Coast, they have been extremely accomodating to our needs, whether it be they bring the vehilcle to us or they have all paper work and insurance ready for us when we arrive so that we can get back to the COast the same day. We recommend Key West FOrd to everyone.

When I arrived at the dealership I was prompted by a man smoking in front of the building. He asked "what do you need?" I asked for a specific salesmen he told me hes never heard of him. I went inside to reception and asked for him and waited again for almost 20 mins. Just to find out that the car I put a deposit on upon leaving to come to New West from Kamloops was sold on me. They couldnt refund my deposit either cause they had to mail it to me, which took 2 weeks and many phone calls..Whats brutal is there was never a alternative solution offered and I couldnt even imagine how awful i was treated. Like I did something wrong?? Hope they can get a grip on this behavior soon.

We were already at the border to go camping and noticed that there was something wrong with the RV. We turned around and went to Key West Ford. They took us in and in an hour or so the vehicle was fixed and the repair price was affordable! The staff and the mechanic were great!

This dealership seems to work hard to live up to the cliche of the used car salesman. Information and stories changed so fast it was hard to keep track. Prices were outrageous and trade in allowances unfair until I had my own knowledge and figures. I had to push before I ever got any call backs. The car I looked at was missing the trim level badge and was passed off as a significantly more expensive trim level. There are plenty of good dealerships and cars out there. Don't waste your time at Key West.

This guy tried to sell us a 2006 car which was listed at over 16,000, but my wife and i knew that the exact car was listed at 5 other dealerships we had been to for 11,500. My wife wanted the one they had at key west for aesthetic reasons so we went there and explained the issue and told them that if they were willing to match the price we would walk out with a car right away. This Wes character then continues to tell me how i am crazy and don't know anything. He was quite insulting to my wife and I, and even to my mother in-law whom was with us at the time. I will never give them my business.

PLEASE DONT GO THROUGH WHAT WE DID at KEY WEST FORD !!
It was on a monday we saw a ad in the paoper for 2011 escapes for 19999 so we calledd ahead and talked to Wes the sales manager (he seemed nice) , then when we got there we met wanye there senior guy and they said they would take care of us , that was the funniest joke ! We gave them our info cause we had found a vehicle we liked we were sold lol n so we went to the biz office and met Allan who was snyde and condesending we had up to 6500 down paymewnt and left a deposit, the next day we didn't hear from them so we called they told us they would know anytime and call us back , after calling a couple more times it was friday now , we finnally talked to michelle who toldd us we were approved with a 9000 dollar down payment and 550 dollar payment a month !" Its a 23000 dollar car"
We told her that that wasn't good for us , so she said get a co signer , we did on saturday we faxed all the info to them ... Still no call monday comes around again so we call them wondering why its taking sooo long they said looks good we call you right back, tuesday still no call from key west but the bank did call the cosigner and said we were approved ! So I called keywest asking why they haven't called us to get our truck they said th would call us back again oh they didn't caLl either, so now a week thursday I hear from a friend who had the same problem with them she said she called coastal and told them about what they were doing anbd they matched th price and she got it from them that day , so I called coastal they told me that they would get me a truck and beat keywest price , then the next day we sent our info to them they told us in two hours we were approved and that they saw in the computer keywest got us a 17.9 percent interest ratebut coastal got us approved by ford credit for less than half the interest rate and we put 5000 down and our payments are 400 a nmonth now were driving ouir new truck from coastal and keywest still hasn't called us its bbeen 11days now the worst service I ever had please don't put yourself through it key west is bad news ansd shady!
