We apologize for the confusion on American Honda’s behalf but the service bulletin 23-037 you mentioned is for replacement of the Electronic Power Steering Gearbox. This bulletin also reads normally factory warranty applies, 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Since your vehicle has 54,000+ miles there is no more coverage for this item. The only way this would be covered is if there was an extended warranty purchased with the vehicle. Unfortunately, we did not see one purchased for your vehicle. Your vehicle was brought in for recall 23-089, 2022-24 Civic EPS Gearbox Inspection. Unfortunately, these are two independent concerns with American Honda. Look up the forums bud, TONS of these cars are having these issues even an NHTSA investigation is on going. This issue didn’t start to get bad until after warranty expired, and you expect me to pay 3k for something that other places have replaced at no cost since it’s a MANUFACTURE DEFECT. Let me say it again MANUFACTURE defect. You guys are a JOKE!
