Double check everything! They actually have no clue what they are doing over in the service department. Awesome, scheduled an appointment the next day for a month in advance and emailed my service advisor, Roland, to let him know I scheduled. He said "It's fine just ask for me when you get in, and I will take care of you." I arrived Friday night after work driving 30 minutes out of my war in a gas crisis and organized a ride home. Walked in and was told "we don't do these on Saturdays this is an all day job but since you have the very first 7AM appointment Saturday we will do our best to get it to you before Monday." I said ok that works thank for fitting me in and this is covered under a warranty extension right? Derek said no that expired a long time ago this is $1,200! I said I have a paper quote saying this is entirely free and was basically told that's my problem. I said, I just won't do it then and wasn't even apologized to. Roland comes over and looks at the computer all puzzled and Derek points to the information saying it's apparently expired and then they blame the technician. They do this all the time, they have a $89.95 oil and filter change special but then charge you $47.18 for the oil, filter, washer, and apparently a new oil pan bolt. Making the oil change $137! Don't trust anything they say, if it's expensive get a second opinion, and get it all in writing even though it doesn't mean anything. I needed 4 new tire, an alignment, control arm bushings, and a new key and they won't be writing any of it up now. Good job guys! More

My 2011 Volkswagen CC in for timing chain tensioner to be looked at sounds like diesel motor when warmed up they said there is nothing wrong with it and brought it to another mechanic and he told me that it looked at sounds like diesel motor when warmed up they said there is nothing wrong with it and brought it to another mechanic and he told me that it has to be changed before it causes catastrophic failure More

Best dealership experience...ever I've owned VWs, Audis, and Volvos. You'd expect the experience at the Audi and Volvo dealerships to be "better" than at VW but you haven't been to Ch I've owned VWs, Audis, and Volvos. You'd expect the experience at the Audi and Volvo dealerships to be "better" than at VW but you haven't been to Checkered Flag. Krystl Stern and the other service writers are absolutely the best in the Hampton Roads area. I love the fact that they verify that you know the cost before they start the repairs. I'm always treated with respect and have never felt like I'm being taken advantage of. Highly recommend Checkered Flag VW. More

Unexpected Service Need Derek, my service writier bailed me out big time. Lights came on and bells started ringing and Derek worked me in with no appointment to see what the Derek, my service writier bailed me out big time. He arranged the shuttle, kept me informed throughout the day, arranged transportation back to the dealership to pick up my car and got me on my way. He ALWAYS does a great job. He's my go-to guy at Checkered Flag Volkswagen service. He just gets it done! More

So he kept me inform of any vehicles, and on 30 Nov. He mentioned to come in and see a selection of a vehicle. So I drove it and looked it over and arranged tp purchase.
