If you buy from them, don't expect a lot after you sign and close the deal. My grandson bought a 2019 Chevrolet Tk from them with an extended warranty and they have had the truck about half of the time he and close the deal. It has transition trouble and has been there 6 to 8 weeks now for warranted repairs and they still don't know when it will be ready drive. He is still making payments and having to borrow a vehicle to get to and from work. While I understand they can't have loaner vehicles for everyone bringing a vehicle in for service, you would think that they would attempt to work something out for this type disruption in their customers lives. But, I guess not. My advice would be DON'T BUY YOUR LEMONS FROM CHAMPION Chevrolet IN ATHENS and expect much from them. More

The worst dealership I have ever bought a vehicle from!!! Customer service ends when they get their money! I bought a $75k truck from them. They lost one of the key fobs to it and said they would call when they found it. 2 months later I had to call them. They set up an appointment for me to come in during the week to program a new fob. So I took the morning off of work thinking it would be really quick. I sat outside in the heat for 3.5 hours only for them to tell me that they don’t have a fob for my vehicle. They had 2 weeks to make sure they had the right one!! Then the key guy said they would call me and come to my work to get it taken care of. That was 2 months ago and still no call. DO NOT BUY HERE!!! You have been warned! Update !! After 10 more calls and a couple more months I finally got an appointment to take my vehicle in for a new fob. I showed up to only find out that they didn’t have my appointment scheduled. They told me they may have one and I handed them the key and waited. I waited for 2.5 hours for them to take me that they don’t have a fob for my vehicle. I was fuming because I have lost more $ by taking off of work than a new fob would have cost me out of pocket. They then called me a few days later and said they have a key blank ……. I said it’s supposed to be a fob. The lady said oh ….. well let me check and see if it’s a fob and we will call you back. Guess what ……NO CALL. That was approximately a month ago. I have now owned my vehicle for almost a year now and no fob from these fools !!! I have never dealt with suck pathetic people in my entire life. More

I looked at trucks at dealerships with the biggest names and truck volumes in North Alabama, but none of them could see customer over profit. I came into this deal with some serious budget constraints that frankly would be a nightmare for any dealership. These guys put some car dealing skills coupled with a level of customer service I have never seen, and made a great deal for me and the young couple that was able to buy my trade in. Everybody got an awesome deal, Champion made two very satisfied customers, and life is great. Sheldon (Sales Manager) is a master at the keyboard, Terry and Chad did a fantastic job finding the truck I needed and keeping the deal going, and Dan (Finance) got me to the payment I needed and made the dreaded "paper process" quick and painless. Top-notch experience - best I've ever had from a car dealer! I have to hand it to Champion Dodge in Athens, AL. I honestly could not ask for better service, attitude, follow-through, and generally being decent guys. The salesperson - David Ivey called every week with status updates - I NEVER had to call him. When I arrived to pick it up, it had 3 miles on it. The salesman had worked with the service department to have me drive the car on the check-out run, with the service tech riding shotgun. PERFECT! Everything had been done precisely as I asked. To top it off, the sales guy had me drive it with him to the gas station to fill it up with 93 octane. He said they do this for all the SRTs, but he wanted me to see him doing it. [Unfortunately, I don't recall the service tech's name to give him credit.] After this, I dropped a SD card in the slot to see how the H-K system sounded.....no go. Uh, oh. Then I tried the USB to my phone - no power, no connection. Not good. The service manager (Gil) dropped everything, jumped into the car, and found the loose connector (hadn't been connected properly at the factory). 20 minutes later, all back together and working perfectly. Fast, friendly, no excuses, no BS. A+ I strongly recommend these guys. They stand out as top-tier in an industry that unfortunately has a lot of questionable players. More
