Illegal business practices, avoid buying anything from them! When I purchased my vehicle on June 30 2016, I was provided with a Carproof that showed a $6000 damage estimate. When I asked the dealership about this, they said it had been rear ended and the bumper had just been replaced and it was fully repaired. Mid-November 2017 I started thinking about trading in this vehicle for something else, and one of the local dealerships I went to actually pulled a current Carproof on it, and told me that it has structural damage and went through an auction – none of this was disclosed to me when I purchased the vehicle. I was shocked when I found this out, and I called Carproof to verify the new report. They actually told me that Barlow Motors actually pulled a Carproof on this vehicle in 2016 that showed the structural damage on it. When I looked back on the report they gave me when I bought my vehicle, it has a date listed of August 28, 2015. They knowingly withheld the newer Carproof report that had more information on it and made me believe this vehicle was in better condition than it actually was. I didn't think to check the date of the report when I got it, never thinking that the dealership would be purposefully trying to mislead me by withholding information that would drastically affect the value of the vehicle and would have changed my decision to purchase this vehicle. This intentional misrepresentation of the vehicle's value is extremely unethical, unacceptable by AMVIC standards, and illegal according to the Fair Trade Act. I did speak to a lawyer and on his advice, confronted Barlow Motors about this issue. After several days of back and forth, they finally agreed to buy back my vehicle for 16,000 which was less than I paid for it, but would cover the balance of my lien on the vehicle. When I brought the vehicle back, Hamid, the owner of Barlow Motors, told me that Adesa provided the old Carproof and Barlow Motors was unaware of the structural damage (which I know for a fact is a lie, because Carproof told me that Barlow Motors pulled a report in 2016 that showed the full extent of the damage). Hamid also lied and said Adesa was buying this vehicle back from Barlow Motors, and I currently see it listed for sale on their website. I am upset that I did not get my full purchase price of this vehicle back, and I am very concerned that they will do the exact same thing to another unsuspecting consumer. Another issue I had with this dealership when I first bought the car was that I was supposed to receive a free undercoating as part of the sale, and agreed to drive up to Calgary from Lethbridge on a Saturday to have it done. Spent the day waiting in Calgary and after I got home I noticed there was gravel dirt and dust underneath the fresh undercoating. 4 days later the undercoating was already chipping off and I could literally pick off chunks with my finger. I called back and was told that the only thing they would do would be to have me drive up again to re-coat the car, and then was reminded condescendingly that it was a "free" service. When I asked why it wasn't washed before application I was told that it's not usually washed and that if it was, the mechanic would have to wait 24hrs before applying it. So I'm not sure how they planned on cleaning and re-coating the car in less than 24 hours if I were to bring it back. No one mentioned anything to me about pre-washing the car when I was trying to book the appointment so I didn't even think of it. After trying to resolve this issue with Tahir, then Jeff Chen (who I was told was the owner) stopped returning my calls or messages and refused to speak with me. My entire experience with this dealership has been terrible and they have repeatedly lied and performed illegal, unethical business practices. More

The car was awesome and the service is absolutely fantastic. Upon picking up vehicle there was an airbag light on that previously wasn't. They wouldn't let me take it home, offered us up a car to take home as we live an hour away, got it repaired the next day and sent a driver with our new truck to exchange vehicles. I totally recommend these guys to anyone. More

2 cars and more to come I have purchased 2 vehicles from Jeff at Barlow Motors. Do not listen to the negative reviews on here. They make a living just like the rest of us do. In terms of pricing, Barlow Motors has the lowest prices in comparison to other used lots in Calgary. Jeff has gone above and beyond multiple times to get the pricing we want and the cars we wanted. I have had friends travel from up north to come get cars from Jeff. Even as far as B.C. This is the only dealership we trust. More

Don't waste your time or money on them. I recently bought a truck from them. When I picked it up the sales man said he thought there was 2 keys & 2 key fobs, it must be a miss print on the t I recently bought a truck from them. The next day looking at pictures still on their ad of my truck, I clearly could see 2 keys in the vehicle. I sent this picture to the salesman asking him to find the other key and send it to me C O D. He said he would look. Days later I hadn't heard anything so I tried again, Won't take my call, won't respond to texts or email. I hate the thought knowing there is another key for my vehicle out there and they have my address. Know exactly where the vehicle is. More

Horrible experience Barlow motors will sell you a vehicle that will break down the minute you drive it off the lot and when you take it back because you purchased warrant Barlow motors will sell you a vehicle that will break down the minute you drive it off the lot and when you take it back because you purchased warranty they ignore your calls. Currently going through AMVIC to deal with the current issue I'm having with a broken car that Barlow refuses to fix. It's covered under warranty too! Shame on you Barlow Motirs. More
