We're 100% happy with the whole Honda West experience My wife and I are not spontaneous buyers and we started the process of looking for a new car back in September 2016. The CRV was in the running, competing amongst three other rival manufacturers vehicles as finalists in our search. As my wife will attest, I am very anal when it comes to product knowledge and reviews. Spending countless hours on the Internet and impromptu visits to multiple dealerships in an effort to acquire all the input I could. It was around the middle of October when I walked into the Honda West dealership (after reading all the reviews I could on this dealership). The showroom, in my mind, is minimalistic in comparison to a lot of the other dealerships (like Toyota). Lacking some polish and glitter and I believe the layout could be constructed better. When you walk through the door there's no wow, just a reception desk in your full field of vision. That being said, I was there to purchase a vehicle, not to sell them a makeover. The receptionist introduced me to a salesman - Curtis Brothers. Curtis was great right from the start. I felt no intimidation, no pushiness at all and we could talk turkey without feeling like I was wasting his time. A stark contrast to almost every other dealership I attended. We had a good chat about the CRV product and kicked a few tires. About a month later, I, along with my wife, decided to go for a test drive. We were mostly happy with the car but the information system, navigation and technology was lacking performance and not very intuitive. It was kind of a dealbreaker at the time. We finished the test drive a little dismayed that our search for the right vehicle had to continue. Curtis was aware of our dissatisfaction but didn't try to sugarcoat anything or brush us off. I have to say, without detriment to Curtis, I was a little taken back by Curtis's lack of knowledge of the systems. We had to refer to the manual for clarification of the features on numerous occasions during the test drive. I did voice my opinion about this to Curtis at the time. I was aware that the new 2017 was due to come out around Christmas. Secret snippets of information were slowly trickling out via the Internet about the new model and seem to be more in keeping what we were looking for. I relayed this to Curtis. Over the next few months, Curtis kept us apprised of all the information he could acquire about this model release and options. Curtis called us the moment Honda West had the new 2017 CRV on their lot. We arranged to take a test drive in it. We were more than pleased with the options and all the complaints that we had from the previous year had been upgraded or overcome. Remember earlier, I said I was not pleased with Curtis's lack of knowledge of the systems of the 2016 CRV. Well, he really stepped up his game. Even though the 2017 CRV was a brand-new arrival to Honda West, Curtis impressed me with knowing everything about that vehicle. There was not one question that I had for him or one system that we tried that he was not well-versed at. Way to go Curtis. A short time later, we were able to take the CRV for a 24 hour test drive. Something I've never heard of before and possibly only Honda West offers this opportunity. After that 24 hours, our search had ended. We were totally taken by the 2017 CRV and the whole Honda West experience. Curtis said with a smile "I was his longest running customer that he hadn't sold the car to". I'm glad for all of us that that's no longer true. We are now the proud owners of a 2017 CRV and couldn't be happier with our choice of vehicle, sales person and dealership. More
