Jason was also very friendly and explained warranty options without the guilt trip or pressure tactics. I didn't feel taken advantage of but instead felt like they made the effort to make sure I was happy and satisfied. I would recommend seeing Heinz. More

My salesperson, Nader Mofti, was very helpful and easy to talk to. He took a lot of time with me and explained the financing options and the fees and costs of financing my purchase. He introduced me to the finance guy who was also friendly and helpful (I'm sorry, but I am not remembering his name). I did feel a little pressured to commit, which I guess is fair enough, and when we were talking purchase price, there was a bit of a disconnect between what Nader told me and what the manager (whose name I also don't remember) told me. Nonetheless, we were able to agree on a price. I was purchasing a new 2017 model that wasn't available yet. Nader phoned me to let me know I wasn't forgotten while we were waiting for my car to arrive. When it did, he arranged for an insurance person to deal with the sale and transfer of my old car to a friend. The insurance guy was also helpful and friendly and patient. The finance guy went through the warranty options and explained them carefully. Nader went through my car with me, explaining features, connecting my phone by bluetooth and making some recommendations. I know if I have any questions, I can call on him. More

In the past I've only driven hand-me-down cars, and have never bought a car from a dealership. I've heard stories about pushy car salesmen, and read about poor service at other dealerships, but after seeing some good reviews about Richmond Subaru I thought I'd give it a try. Edwin and the team at Richmond Subaru did not disappoint; they answered all my questions and took care of all my needs, and didn't try to push anything on me that I didn't want. They were all extremely professional and I would recommend Edwin and the team at Richmond Subaru to anyone looking for a pleasant car buying experience. My story: I was greeted by Edwin within seconds of entering the dealership, and he asked how he could help me. I said I was interested in test driving some WRX's. I've gone to dealerships in the past but they never had any WRX's to test drive, and so I never ended up buying one because who buys a car without trying it first? But within minutes Edwin came back with the keys and off we went. The first car I tried was a used WRX with CVT, but unfortunately it had been lowered so the ride was quite bumpy. Edwin then suggested we try another one with a manual transmission, and after taking it on a test drive I knew I found the car I wanted. Within a week the new car came in, Edwin let me know and we set a time for me to pick it up. On pickup day everything went smoothly. Fraser and Jason managed the deposit and finance stuff, answering all my questions about the financial mumbo jumbo in language I could understand, and advising on all the best options for extended insurance, car protection etc. Robbie did the car insurance within minutes. And within an hour everything was all said and done, and I am now the proud owner of a new 2017 WRX, thanks to Edwin and the team Richmond Subaru! More

I think I will love my new Crosstrek as much as I loved my old Subaru Impreza, it’s made the transition to a larger vehicle easy; it’s a very comfortable drive, a perfect fit. I would like to thank the staff at Richmond Subaru, especially Edwin Slater who was extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable, he knew I did not need to be sold on the brand but needed to explore the new Crosstrek to see if it fit my new lifestyle as a grandparent. I would like to give Dicken Lau and Edwin a special thanks for arranging a loaner vehicle while waiting for my Crosstrek to be delivered. It was once again a pleasure to purchase a new Subaru! Friendly and Down-to-Earth My fiancee and I had done our research online and were looking to see the car in person and test drive it. Our experience at the Richmond Dealership w My fiancee and I had done our research online and were looking to see the car in person and test drive it. Our experience at the Richmond Dealership was quite positive. From the beginning, we had walked into the showroom and simply browsed at our leisure. The receptionist did actually start asking people in the showroom if they required help, to which we answered that we were looking at the WRX. Receptionist was very friendly and prompted that we take a seat, help ourselves to water/coffee while we waited for a salesperson. So of course, we helped ourselves to some coffee (Starbucks machine, fantastic). Our sales rep, Jackie, turned up while we were getting coffee and was very friendly to offer help. At the time, we did not know who he was. After we got our coffees and went back to our waiting area, only to be surprised that the nice man who helped us was our sales rep. Jackie was very down to earth and calm. Asked what we had in mind, what we wanted/needed and so on. We had done our research so were very specific in saying we wanted to test drive a WRX. Unfortunately, no manual transmission model was available, however a 2015 model with CVT was on the lot and we took the opportunity to test drive it. During the test drive, Jackie balanced between allowing us to chat amongst ourselves and addressing any concerns we had. At one point, he guided us to a banked turn and really allowed me to put the car to the test. I believe Jackie's words were, "Go ahead, we're very confident in our product." What a great drive. Not only that, we were able to gauge the interior, cabin noise, visibility and the drive does answer most of your questions about the product. As for transacting, things went very smooth for the most part. There was a slight bit of good cop/bad cop games going on with Jackie and the internal Managers. At the end of the day, the negotiation dance wasn't too bad. The point is, I asked for a little extra on top of the few back and forths and they did give it to me, making me feel just that little bit more special. Again, Jackie was very calm and open. Not rushing anything, not pushing anything onto me that I didn't want. Finally, took delivery of my new car today. First good hour was all paperwork. Jackie did show me the specifics of the car and was very open to tell us about the dealer's offerings for its customers. At the end of the day, the dealership is a business and need to make a profit to continue operating and serving other Subaru customers. They're open about it, passionate and down-to-earth in communicating and making sure both sides come out with a win-win. Jackie, you're a great guy, always a pleasure! More
